Merry Christmas 🎄

Not very festive outside but it’s the third Christmas in a row that’s been like this, if not quite as mild as this year, so I guess we should be used to it.

A damp and overcast start to the day, with the festive low of 11.7°C at: 02:05, currently 12.3°C, RH96% with a light breeze in from the SW.

On Golden sands...Santa (fake) and doggy day...

Anybody care to pick a day this week when it won't rain?

Looking forward, this shows how the snow dome over Dorset is fully prepared for January 9th snowfest!

My fortune telling cat..Mystic Mog surveyed his glass balls before announcing that the BFTE will bury the country in snow on the 9th February 2024..the empty cooking sherry bottle has me concerned though.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

Not been a bad start here weatherwise. Managed to get out for my usual walk before the weather collapses into soggy mess this afternoon. Something I wasn’t expecting to do looking at the forecast yesterday for today.

Double bonus, we’ve had some sunshine this past half an hour. Sadly fading now as the grey clouds come back together confirming what the radar is showing, that this afternoon’s rain is just a few miles away now.

Miserable up here in Portishead. Drizzly and overcast, despite the sun peeping out briefly earlier.

Seems to have been like this for weeks. At least it ain't cold.

Merry Christmas to all in this regional thread - both lurkers and posters. :ball-santa-emoji:

Very windy again this afternoon/evening. Gusting to 37mph.

Rain has sort of arrived now.

Hope everyone in this marvellous thread had a wonderful Christmas.

Looks like a brief window to get out for a walk tomorrow on hard surfaces before the next dousing on Wednesday… Two weeks until I can jet out of this country for some much needed sun! 😩

Had rather hoped for some sunshine today, but no, still cloudy.

You beat me to it Mike! The moon was shining bright at 06.00 but by 08.00 100% Cirrus etc and thickening since then!

Have to settle for lightbulb sun instead!

Morning All, as the graph shows we have been fortunate with some sunshine for a few hours

image.thumb.png.12d08e8a7feab531f68b82a732a97ab2.png

We are within the thinner veil of cloud as seen from above

image.thumb.png.8e23167d7b4208830076fe76ab8e34d3.png

However, moisture is beginning its approach..

image.thumb.png.fb3b90589867ccc88ee060eae914b0ac.png

Anyhow, a cooler night than of late into the single digits with the overnight low of 5.1°C at: 09:08, currently 8.8°C , RH88% and light air movement from the SW.

On golden sands, boarders clearing their heads after night before on a very calm sea

And dogs taking their humans for a walk..
