@Alderc 2.0 Exactly that. Just managed 25 mins after work shifting earth outside and it's very overcast. We're getting there.

A quick visit to the MOD thread, oh boy, I've come out dizzy! One interpretation says "Yup cold air", another says "Cold easterly air", another goes "Not even cold enough for snow in Scotland". Meanwhile people hang on to the 10day chart like they REALLY believe them, come on now, so rarely have 10day charts manged to count down to day 1 with the same synopsis.

Well that was interesting.Having done the bird survey at home.it then came to me lol.I was mowing a lawn when about 2ft in front of me a Sparrowhawk fizzed  past me into the hedge.Bit of commotion and it flew back out again minus any lunch most unusual but lovely to see.

Grumpy drizzly weather here.

At least I've been able to put the kitchen rug out again so Senior Gentlecat's....worst excesses, shall we say...can air out.

Planted a Christmas box (sweet box) at the front door in a tub yesterday and some cyclamens in the window box though.

Another cloudy & dull morning here.  Slightly cooler than of late too, at 6.6c.

Stuck in a no man’s period between a finished winter & an early spring, where it’s neither one or the other.

Morning All, an overcast yet bright start to the day, after an overnight low of 6.9°C at: 08:10, currently 7.8°C, RH83% with a light breeze in from the W - SW.

From Above, cloud is further west than suggested it might be by the MetO yesterday forecast, so looks to be a while before some warming sunshine

On Golden sands, some patches of blue around

After yesterday’s gloom it’s back to being pretty decent. Bright with sunny spells not feeling overly cool in the north west breeze. Next ten days look pretty decent, dry, it should be fairly bright and importantly no proper cold.

Testing.

Thanks Beka, was just testing out the new quote method & used your post as a guinea pig.  😁😁

Still cool & cloudy here.  Is it Spring yet?

Amazing after nearly two years, I've found somebody that has determined the issues I have with my foot. Had two casts taken so orthotic inserts for my shoes can be produced, then maybe I'll be able to walk better. Looking at all the inserts I'd bought, plus various other bits, the fine gent said "You may as well take that lot home with you!" (Hmmm, having spent good English pounds on that bag of rubbish). But at long last there's hope. Meanwhile the dreary conditions continue with patchy drizzle, I just feel like getting out of the Uk for something different, even if its rain.

A maximum of 9.3°C at: 01:54, currently 7.8°C.

So near yet so far...

Should've had about 2-3 hours of sunshine by now. Instead, just dull as dishwater again.

Since getting back from being away on Friday (which was glorious) it's been soooo boring.

Doesn’t look like changing, on the whole, for our part of the region.  Don’t care about temperature, would just like some sunshine & less grey, monotonous cloudfests.

Wearing flip flops too often?

Seriously though glad there could be light at the end of the tunnel.

Another grey, dull morning here.  Starting where we left off yesterday evening.

Yep, same here - just that sort of dull high-pressurey low cloud that takes the fun out of the day.

Morning All, the gloomy conditions continue unabated, even the golden sands are depleted of brave folk today

image.thumb.png.66f08724973c468b3c35b092a55c64ed.png

Meanwhile, the overnight low of 5.4°C at: 02:43 has skipped merrily up to 8.6°C, RH81% and a light breeze (seemingly increasing in strength) from the SW.

From Above, thank goodness for the map overlay otherwise finding the UK mainland under these conditions is a challenge.

Local forecasted conditions suggest Broken clouds at a height of 600 ft for later this afternoon, dropping from the current Broken clouds at a height of 3100 ft.
