As the saying goes better to have loved and lost rather than not loved at all. Just replace a few words haha.

Great pics, next chase soon I hope.

Slow thaw here this morning.

I just watched John Hammond on the news and he mentioned about cold returning later in the month towards Christmas. Hopefully he’s right.

Well the bookies aren't rich by giving things away and the odds for Northern cities, Edinburgh, Newcastle etc are pretty stingy at the moment.

I think there is a good chance after a couple of weeks of less cold weather we could see something wintry around Christmas time, nothing scientific in my thinking by the way, just a general gut feeling.

So our cold spell is at an end. I would rate this cold spell as a 5/10. Darlo got a reasonable covering that lasted a few days. We've had snow, freezing fog and ice. So all in all not too bad. Hopefully the chase won't last so long and we are back in the freezer before Xmas.

Probably 6/10 for my location. We had lying snow from last Wednesday and it snowed everyday from Tuesday to Sunday. Some low temps as well.

For my location it was better than last year’s December cold spell.

Hopefully it’s just the warm up for the rest of the winter.

Rain totals must be piling up now. Supposed to rain all night too

Why oh why does it never happen like this when it comes to snow.

10mm of rain = approx 10cm of snow.
