There's been a couple of heavier bursts where it tries to settle a bit, but it's slushy goop. Looks like an actual covering up at old Esh.

My partner works near Annfield Plain, probably about 250m up on the hill. She just got back from work and laughed - "Come and look at the car!". It's covered in snow - probably a good 3cm of it, and there's literally none here. It looks very out of place!

Chris Smith yeah, same height as here & 3cm on grass though has been marginal so quite wet snow but enough to cause issues on main roads.

Still only D9 of snow, which is v poor

geordiekev very poor snow effort this winter. Especially up your way. Infact even for frosts it's been very poor.

Still though, the good amount we had back in early December means we've still had more snow here than last winter which only produced a few dustings.

Or look it’s raining again. I’m sure this was forecast to stay out in the North Sea

Anyone else starting to enjoy the mildness now? It has felt rather spring like in-between any rain and the heating has barely been on.

It was a lovely 12c with sunny skies walking round gibside today and nee breeze either. It felt rather pleasant. The rest of this week looking quite unsettled but hopefully won't be constant rain.

Felt much cooler today. Was nice to step outside earlier and actually need my thicker coat on. Hopefully some drier weather over next couple of days with some chilly nights

Thought I'd give my rating for winter, I know March can deliver but I can't see it this year.

It's a shocking 2 out of 10

I would even go as far as saying we have not even had a winter, every year it just feels like a extended autumn and then into spring.

So my winter score this year is a 3/10. Here in darlo we had about 5-6 days of laying snow early December with 4 days of falling snow during that period. We always do a little better in darlo than teesside for snow. The chase in mid January was horrendous it seemed to go on for ever and delivered next to nowt. February was beyond bad it's been horrendous Feb has barely delivered a frost. Feb was a 0/10 for me.

So another poor winter is almost over and it must be said that we are increasingly struggling to get anything out of our warming climate. I really think we are going to be looking at more and more snowless winters as the years go by.

Anyway guys see you all next November for more fruitless painful chases 😄

Id rate it rather poor aswell. Although we did get 4 or 5cm early December which was nice. It's been a rather stormy winter and often mild/very mild. Very little frost although managed 4 days on the bounce last weekend beginning of this week but overall very poor. Probably a 3/10 from me

Seem to have lost the strong easterly breeze now which is helping with the snowiness.(technical term)🙂

Really is kick in the teeth after such a long drawn out Winter but not complaining. D11 of falling about half of seasonal average for me, so March has some catching up

Just heavy rain in Durham yesterday. But when I got back to my car at 11.30 last night it was covered in thick ice. Couldn't open doors. Luckily enough I managed to open my boot where the de-icer was.
