So...will it go 'bang' today...? I always love a thunderstorm! And the clean, cooler air that (usually) follows...

The day currently being ruined by a finger of thickish cloud running south to north directly over us. Looks perfect a few miles either side

I hope so….radar watching is great in winter but can certainly be interesting when thunderstorms are in the forecast ️️waiting and watching them pop up from nowhere ️️️

Starting to kick off South West of our region

Using the radar, it would seem a small cell from the main trundel has developed by Pershore.

Northen flank is fizzing out, its the cloud cover i would think is the probem, or the mids storm shield!

Ah, a definite rumble of thunder here in Solihull. Darker sky, but not yet very ominous...

A long line of thundery showers/thunderstorms frequent thunder sometimes continuous..

4 to 7.15pm..

What an outstanding weekened unnprecdented just after the Aurora..

Not a bad way to go out, with some thunder and a short but interesting squall. Nothing spectacular, but at least it wasn't just a slow descent into grey drizzle. The first part of the day was lovely again, and the warmth stuck around a little longer than I'd expected. Until around 3pm, really. Maxed out at a new 2024 high for me of 24.5 °C. I suspect it'll be a fair old while before I get over that mark. It's been a decent little spell.

but tbh, it was hardly anything to write home about

A few brief minutes of heavy rain around 19:00 but then it went sunny again. No lightening, no thunder. Looks like we were just a bit too far East.

Nothing here but tbf nothing was forecast to happen here today storm wise,  anyway some chances perhaps on Thursday and Friday with hefty showers about, let's see what develops for us midlanders.

Yet again, nothing here. 

I no longer get excited over the prospect of thunderstorms and snow as they rarely deliver in my location nowadays.

Missed all the action here, though most of the region did too.

I've noticed that Manchester seems to get much more storm activity than Birmingham nowadays.
