Absolutely nothing doing here...! I heard it raining heavily in the early hours of the morning, if that turned to snow temporarily then I certainly didn't see it! My snowless life continues...

SollyOlly  Is the chances of any snow for the Solihull area now passed ?  Was shocked to see a yellow warning on the BBC website when i got up.  Looking at travelling from Redditch to Shirley this morning , but get a bit anxious when snow is about 😞

mr benn hi, yes, no sign at present and very little chance/ risk, it appears. The radar is one's best friend with this type of (relatively) hit and miss scene, though...

Now if it's rain that you're after, well, we have endless supplies of it! 😉

Have a horrendously poor quality photo from the bus at Kinlet, just north of Bewdley on the way to Bridgnorth.  (Turns out I'm not going to Ludlow after all, so no Clee Hill trip.) At least I can now say I've seen lying snow in daylight, even if it did have to wait for meteorological spring!

Very close to snow this morning but the rest was just rain.

Coastal southwest buried, nothing but rain here. Worst 18 month period of weather I've ever seen.

Snowed early in the night but heavier stuff at 7 was just rain.

Dew Points falling again so perhaps something wet later.. although I'm hoping for spring now. MOD output channel hoping for more cold rain again 😕

I remember Atlantic 252 yep, and people on the channel want it. Deffo not cold enough for snow. If it came off it would be utterly awful weather.

Snowing heavily again on the Malvern Hills area - huge flakes and sticking to what we had earlier. Wonderful sight! (Sorry to those who haven't had snow!)

Barbmac Wow, sounds great, enjoy! About 60 miles north (here), guess what...we've got grey cloud, outbreaks of rain, and dank. Funny that, because we haven't had much weather like that for a while...(?!?!?! - sarcasm alert!!).

I have given up hope now and am ready to confine winter 2023/2024 to the bin where it belongs. There's been so many promising charts over the last few months but all came to very little or nothing. With the exception of a few cold sunny days here and there, winter was mostly dull, wet and mild.

Let's get on with spring now. Winter has had its chance. Whilst I am happy for cold to remain up until mid March, we've been let down so many times this winter that I am no longer feeling hopeful for any cold.

SollyOlly Yes it has been a miserable winter, I do love March though because crazy things like this can happen!

Heavy sleet shower which has now abated. It struck me that seeing those flakes come down, albeit that it wasn't settling, was the first time I'd seen it in over two years. Interesting as it was, I'm afraid that after a winter of bitter disappointment, it just doesn't cut it! Ah well. Could always be worse, I suppose...
