In Ludlow right now, and it's been raining for the last hour with plenty more on the radar. Yet *another* failure of short-term rain forecasting by the Met Office. It's getting ridiculous now.

About an hour ago we have a glorious clearance, there was a clear blue sky and even (gasp) a bit of sun. Not quite as nice now, but perhaps a glimpse of things to come...in April?!

First mow of the lawn for me yesterday,  got me thinking how it barely had to survive frost this winter.

Does anyone have any stats on how many frost days their were in the 23/24 winter season?

A taste of winter when those showers blow in, dropping to 4.5°C at one moment.

Coleshill has had about 25 air frosts, but in Walsall there may have been a few less due to the urban heat island effect.

Did my second mow of the year yesterday, looks like a classic day of spring sun and showers, one of my favourite types of weather, hopefully some of them turn thundery.

Today is a fairly typical early spring day with a mixture of sunshine and showers including hailshowers. Quite a good day for interesting weather.

Agree with a lot of folk's posts on here, today was the type of Spring day I remember from my youth, a bit of everything; temperatures normal-ish and fluctuating with cloud cover or sunshine. Got some decent hail showers mixed in, nippy and wet if out in a shower but also one could feel the sun if you were lucky enough to be out in that. Overall, a good 'seasonal' day! And if it stays dry tomorrow, I might get a chance to wash the car, too!

Another great day here, clear skies with fluffy cumulus. Sat here with the windows open with a gentle breeze watching bees flying around, all while looking at charts for some photogenic tornadoes in the great plains. Spring has arrived 😁

Yes been a lovely Spring day here, went a long walk with the dogs this morning up to Stanton Moor via Robin Hoods Stride on the back lanes from my location to the 9 Ladies (lots of tourists..) Then dug and weeded the veg patch after lunch and trimmed some bushes. It's been so nice to have a dry sunny day to lift the spirits.

Until this evening, we had a really nice Spring day here today. A little sunshine, nice clear light/ air, albeit a little nippy, but nothing unusual for late March. I do like this time of year, before the crazy heat of summer hits and the days are getting longer but there's still a balance. Wonder what Easter and April will bring...

With the exception of the odd sunny day here and there, this has been another dire month overall. Recorded 90mm rain here (so far), making it even wetter than last March, and this is following on from the wettest February of all time. No sign of much improvement for the foreseeable future either.

Really quite chilly today walking around Birmingham, definitely needed the coat, scarf and gloves! It'll warm up soon enough no doubt.

Had a heavy hail shower about 40-45 minutes ago, from a developing shower. Gone grey again and seems like we're about to get another heavy shower.

Radars gone so can't confirm that!
