The clearest I've seen in what feels like an eternity. Better make the most of it before convective infill comes and takes it away!

BlueDomeSky The sun's out here but it seems much hazier than that.

Sunshine, but hazy, and also feels humid. Don't get me wrong, it's better than the constant rain, but would prefer a deeper blue, better visibility and lower humidity. Something like exactly one week ago (before the cloud moved in), for example.

Beautiful blue out there today. Love it.

This is what we've needed more of for months. Properly sunny mornings with good light levels, such a nice change from the near-constant clag and dull grey gloom.

The sun finally got the memo and dragged it's backside out and is now shining in all it's glory.

danm I edited that, because oppressive was probably a bit much. What I was trying to say is that it feels humid and a little airless, rather than fresh. I'd imagine the DP is pretty high here; there's a lot of moisture and standing water hanging around from yesterday's rain, it's not evaporating readily.

What a gorgeous week coming up. I would honestly be happy with this all summer. Pleasantly warm by day and fresh by night.

It may be a little hazy but I don't care. The sun is out, it's warm, it's dry, we've been waiting so long for this! Enjoy it while it lasts because this week is going to feel so sweet.

The longest autumn of my life is finally over!

Thankfully the humidity has dropped and the visibility improved now.

This has to be the sunniest day in, I don't know, forever? Probably since January which is a bit depressing.

Overall cloud levels seem to be lower than predicted, I didn't see any cloudless sunshine in the forecast for this location at all. Expect high sunshine hours and perhaps slightly higher temps than forecast this week. At this level London will easily hit 20-21 today while it is forecast at around 19.

Just sneaked into Garden to do a little work (from home). It's amazing the energy you can feel, the birds going crazy getting food, the plants bursting and the sun shining down. Looking ahead next week doesn't look too bad, pressure is lower but not very low, so should be pleasant with the odd shower for most, but staying warm for time of year, a typical May week perhaps.

Yeah I think it quite literally is (the sunniest since Jan).

We did have a few *mostly* sunny days in April and Saturday was good in my area, but they weren't properly clear as the sky had some haze on and off for big chunks of the day.

Today is what I consider predominantly clear because of the clarity of the blue and there's an odd fluffy cloud but none of that haziness.

Nothing like needing to wait a solid 3 months+ for some proper HP lol.

What a day. Temperature already at 19.7C, highest so far this year and could make low 20s at this rate. Clear blue skies and the planes aren't even leaving trails to trigger the tin foil idiots.

First 20°C of the year!

Doing some paving and a fence, so it's nice to get a sweat on - a detox. 😎

GFS 12z looks decent. Settled and pleasant this for most then a cut off low approaches from the west but never makes inroads and goes south torwards western Iberia instead. Seems to be followed by southeasterlies but that’s FI so no point in expecting it.

Cloudy here but decently mild at 15C. Looks like further south a lot of welcome sunshine to be enjoyed.

I do feel for the south so far this month, been of the wettest in England; 60-70mm between Crawley and Brighton, while around up here have had only about 4-5mm, one of the driest.

Northern and western Scotland takes the award so far with the driest start to the month.

Catbrainz If that happens we might get the ideal solution of a thundery interlude without a full-on breakdown. Big if of course... this is 2024 after all! 😉

@Summer8906 I hope thunder comes I am a big thunder fan. I think the poor weather has been down to two late season SSWs and El Nino working together to inflict misery.

20c, mainly sunny but a little hazy.

Certainly feels warmest day of 2024, so far, for this locality, although a good 12/13c degrees off the Caribbean highs, back in Feb😁😎

Fuerteventura for 10 days from tomorrow, if all goes to plan, early doors😎👍🍻

Well at the moment the rainfall Radar is virtually rainfree right across the nation and Ireland. Not very often you see it like that!🤣

A nice day in London but very average conditions for May.

We are really heat and sun starved 😩.
