Rain getting heavier, hardly a breath of wind, will evaporative cooling come into play?

Evap Cooling should have an effect today but offset by solar heating

severe snowstorm Heavy sleety rain here definitely sleety as it’s got heavier but that’s about it.

Joe Snow I'm squinting to see if I can see a bit of sleet in the rain, it does have a slightly 'lumpy' look so maybe a hint of sleet in there, but that's probably as good as it gets today.

Something cold and wet falling from the sky but I won’t call it snow or will likely be charged under trades description laws😂

Not driving into Manchester so just deciding how to get to the bus, walk in whatever cold and wet is falling or taxi🤔

Nice little covering of snow here and all surrounding fells of Blencathra Clough Head and Great Dodd have been plastered. Overnight low of -2.4c and currently 1.1c and sunny intervals

The proper heavy stuff is knocking on the door now, but the temp is slowly rising, 2.5C, dewpoint 2C, so any trace hopes are diminishing fast.

Chris.R Just needs to be persistant and heavy, plenty of March snowfalls, if April yes solar heating tends to have affect. Last March broughts signficant snowfall here. March often snowier than December and it is only 2 March.
