Very nondescript day. Grey skies, cooler temps, unpredictable drizzle.

 In Absence of True Seasons I've noticed a concerning rise in "chemtrail" conspiracy theory replies on wx Twitter accounts, honestly makes you despair for humanity sometimes.

 raz.org.rain I don't think it's a conspiracy. It's just the reality of lots of planes in the sky.

Returned to the default here now, a lot more cloudier & not just high level cloud either, more properly overcast;

still warm & bright mind you, so not terrible, far from it.  Just a shame the elusive golden orb can’t be more dominant.

A lot of talk about how it'll get "colder" this week and next, I find it incredibly difficult to get remotely enthralled about it at this time of year.

Amazing the vast differences in both temperature and skies across what is a small country really.  No wonder there is a mixture of both moans & delight in this thread.  What one person has could be the opposite to what another has.

Overcast here now & a little fresher too;

Some quite big temperature differences:

I finally got to sit out in the garden at 4 pm and within minutes the cold front came rolling in with dark clouds and reduced temperature. I’ve got my jumper on again but at least I’ve got the lawn mown. 😇

Hazy sun most of day, warm but windy, not bad, back to thick cloud now and the grim grey lid perma autumn is back. This country really sucks.

 In Absence of True Seasons Thats a very good satellite pic showing the atlantic firing a continuous line of crap at the UK. It's been another day of cold wind & showers here with only fleeting glimpes of the sun. We need a major pattern change to bring any settled weather but the atlantic appears to be on non stop overdrive.

Pretty vile day here to be honest overall. Very little warmth, got ready to go for a walk then it chucked it down, then raining on and off the rest of the day, then breezy and feeling pretty cold to be honest. Packing the T-shirts and shorts away for a good while based on the outlook I think, unless exercising.

A high pressure trend setting in, but it drags some cooler air in with it. Could there be something warmer and drier at the end of it?

 WYorksWeather Nice day here overall, apart from a brief light shower this evening.  Still mild too.

 raz.org.rain Facebook is getting worse and worse for it. They sit in their echo chamber groups on there in their thousands. I was having a nose at the group 'Chemtrails UK' and they're even talking about mobilising, taking action and all of that. Apparently when they write to their MPs, they get sent a link to a 'BBC propaganda article about chemtrail conspiracies' 😂. Some on there are literally blaming their health conditions on the 'spray'.

As anyone here who follows the MO on FB will know, they swarm the comments sections for every single item posted.

The problem is; it's hard to argue with them when you watch what happens to these trails on many days, and the cloud-fest that has been the last 6 months has given them so much bait to hook onto, clearly being used to recruit further to their cause. But, ultimately, as @In Absence of True Seasons mentions, it's the number of planes in the sky, which gets higher every year and clearly isn't helping. Friday was a particularly bad day for it down here. The atmospheric conditions were seemingly ripe for high cloud development, given the way the trails were getting a bit out of hand up there, spreading out into wide banks of Cirrus that filled the sky. On days like that, you can almost hear the conspiracy lot around you, pointing at the sky and going 'see! They're spraying the **** out of us. Look up, sheeple!'

Reasonably nice, semi sunny and dry day here. Just a shame that yesterday's warmth has gone as quickly as it came! A real "one day wonder"

The next week looks very average all round. Mostly dry though which is better than previously

 ChannelThunder I’ve been watching the flat Earthers ranting about the eclipse, it’d be hilarious if it wasn’t so worrying.

Weather looks a bit grim for the foreseeable here, ‘highs’ barely scraping 10°C for the next 10 days

Well look at that ... Back to cloud ... Whatta surprise. We've had our 2 days that we're allowed of hazy sunshine. Would be good to see some proper sun shine and blue skies but we aren't allowed that here! Blue skies are a thing of the past like snow!
