markyo Glad it was better for you in South Yorks. I guess our elevation here is always against us. It was only on for half an hour or so.

stainesbloke So because we've had an extended period of wet weather, thundery weather should be barred? That would make a pretty boring summer for extreme weather enthusiasts like me I think

A beautiful day here in Czechia, mainly sunny, very light winds and 22°C. Some thunderstorms developed on the horizon but didn’t get close. But great to see

Wade Hmm, I didn’t mention any barring of thunderstorms 😆 I love them!

stainesbloke Lucky you. Here we got a sort of early spring morning then a chilly afternoon followed by the usual clear and sunny evening.  Obviously it was great compared to the grot we are used to. Tomorrow we should be back to normal (aka rain).

*Stormforce~beka* Yes, after a brief sunny interval this afternoon, cloud soon returned.  However, tonight you've guessed it, the skies are starry!  🙄

Well, I mentioned the other day about concerns regarding cloud this week and the Mets app. Still, it shows cloud every day for my location, warming up nicely but very limited sun..time will tell wheather the Met over cook cloud in their forecasts or not..!🤔

Are forecasts updated with each model run? Because I checked the forecast for my area out of curiosity due to the "high pressure" coming in and I gotta admit, it looks absolutely dire, much worse than this past week. Only 1 half decent day on Thursday and every other day has complete cloud coverage and even lots of rain. This includes the BBC forecast which is normally much more optimistic! Not exactly what I would call a "high". A pathetic excuse for one maybe. I'll cling onto a small glimmer of hope using the fact that we got a few nice days this week that weren't forecast to be anything special so hopefully next week will have at least 3 nice and sunny days. That's about as good as we can get in my part of the country during this current era so fingers crossed 🙏

Well, I thought this weekend was meant to be dire, turns out it has been lovely, bar tomorrow. Then the "a few days ago" forecast looked like a fantastic dare I say it rainless 6 days. That seems to be changing pretty quickly lol.

Overall there is small hints and changes to the better, but I can't feel positive just yet after how bad it has been for too long. Need a bigger more obvious change with longevity before I can feel more happy.

And back to normal, a blanket of grey has invaded. Makes me feel marginally all those in the south and the London area will soon have their day ruined…..

It looks like the south may escape with just a smattering of drizzle today. Not too bad for anyone with plans, and should still feel fairly mild in the mid teens. I'm not very trusting of the detailed forecasts in this sort of borderline situation, where it may stay dry or may be slightly heavier than forecast.

I'll be keeping an eye on the radar before deciding to venture out this afternoon 😀

Sparkling morning. Looks like cloud will build this afternoon in the south. I’m off to Liverpool later where the sun will hang on for longer.
