Will end up in France like last time, leaving most of the south snowless, the shenanigans of the low for Wed 17th where GFS and maybe others modelling it much too far north, we ended up mild with a whimper, snow lovers should not want the fronts in France

Harsh Climate I must have slept through those 3 years ago. Either that or they were very temporary affairs.

Great! So a potentially rotten spring again! To follow another shocker of a 'winter'!

6 days is absolutely miles away from predicting snowfall with any certainty. Has everyone forgotten the snow charts from the last cold spell!? I'm reserving any excitement until I can see it at 72hrs and even then I'm keeping my sceptical hat on. It's not worth the pain of disappointment.

Typical pub run shinannigans. Surely most on here will know this.

This is why you tend to see/hear less from me in the run up to cold spells!  Can't be doing with all the ups and down lol! 🥴 🤢

I simply don't understand people on here that seem to want a two day snow and slush fest and ignore the mild mush that follows....instead of a nice couple of weeks of deep cold and all the snow chances that would bring.

feb1991blizzard just think in a couple of months you won't have to Worry about it. 'WINTER' will be done for another Yr.

sundog I think that might be a blessed relief for most of us lol. This season has been the most tortuous in the search for cold and snow since I started viewing the models 20 years ago. I think the fact that there has been prolonged brutal cold over Scandi that has refused to move our way has exacerbated the frustration.

blizzard81 it always seems these days that no matter the situation, how favourable something may be  to getting a decent winter it's just the same story every Yr. Yes even a cold Scandinavia has done nothing for us, not yet anyway.

 SLEETY

Still I'd take a cold/blocked late februrary/march over zonal everytime!

Even in the decades of great winters in the past, you would still get asomewinters that were mild/wet throughout with no snow.

Feb and March can see more action that Dec/Jan, given that 2018 was ONLY 6 years ago, all is not lost

Come on, next we’ll be starting an emergency help line/thread next for fellow members regarding…will it, won’t it !!!

Its all just too much for some the way some go on…lol 🤭

edit….please take my comment lightly, maybe this new thread will take the negativity away from the Model thread.😉

Anyway my thoughts are , 🥶 moments will come 😉 mid February onwards 😋
