  3. Wattisham gusting 59mph at 09.03 as the cold front passed through.
  4. Decision on the Orwell bridge closure in Ipswich looks to be 10 am.
  5. Sat24 shows the low centre around France/Benelux Border, its gonna be very tight, the Kent shower train needs to suck every last bit of moisture from it, and if it can push a bit further West maybe some of the EA coast can get a little something.
  6. I know it has awful resolution, but if you look at Meteox you can see the blob tails right back to Amsterdam, and seems to be heading the right way, East Kent looks like it could get a good moisture feed into its showers for a good part of the night.
  7. Morning All, Feels pretty raw here this morning, still very grey with some bits of frozen drizzle about. I know the mood is downbeat in here guys but rest assured that in reality the UK will have experienced the same weak Easterlies made up of a small cold pool that breaks away from a larger pool 50,60,100 years ago, not every Easterly can be the beast, but it will come again in the future. As Delka says you could be looking at snow in 12 hours time, take what we can from it, then onto the next
  8. The further North you go the less clag and drizzle to supress any convection, if you look on sat24 the dull clag has ever so slowly cleared very slightly down as far as the wash, so showers up there are more convective in nature they can even be seen forming shower trains across the North sea, whereas this low down its more the thick clag causing frozen drizzle. Hoping over the next 24 hours it clears a bit further south so the region can take any advantage possible of any convective trains that can develop.
  9. My best streamer chance would be of the North Coast tip of The Netherlands and curling down on a ENE, 2010 kept one going for hours, sadly probably not for me this time.
  10. I think the flow will come from the right direction, but only for a very limited time...........As Surrey has said we really need some instability for it, -15 uppers and a stronger Easterly would have been nice. But hey crazier things have happened. On another note my drizzle has frozen bits in it
  11. Looked great here, but nothing settled, the flakes were huge (so must have been very wet), easily getting up to the size of the palm of your hand and so intense, but still couldnt get a hold on any kind of surface.
  12. Not amounting to much, but its still nice to watch it blowing around in the stiff breeze.
  13. 15 minutes of snizzle has now turned to moderate sized flakes falling lightly.
  14. Lol scratchy toilet paper, that stuff was awful. Talking of toilet blocks..........How is our block looking on the models?
  15. I am starting to have thoughts of a little German Steve Murr rubbing his hands together and sayin "See i told you.........If we can get that UK block in then it will keep returning for the rest of winter" (feel free to use a German accent).
  16. An instant dusting here, lightened up a bit, very dark to my North.
  17. Just went outside in a black hoodie and there were bits of ice on it when came back in, not detectable under the street lamp yet.
  18. He's still rampin and giving full gritter analysis somewhere else.
  19. Good Morning All, 5c Dp 1c in West Ipswich this morning, thought i'd come in and take a seat for what will hopefully be a nice long performance and some fun and games for all, over the next week.
  20. We are good, next doors conservatory has holes in the roof and cars are covered in dents.
  21. Wow, what the hell just happened, just when i think its a bust, lightning constantly flashing and undetectable rumbles of thunder because it was just boom after boom, and hail the size of £2 coins, i'm trying not to swear but that was ruddy amazing.
