  1. Tomorrow's shortwave seems slightly further north on this run. .
  2. I thought the image was familiar scoundrel lol!
  3. Slight margins big results comparing 06z with 12z the former had nearing 40cm for the west of London!
  4. I stand corrected: A wave of 63ft (19.1m) was recorded by the Met Office off the coast of St Ives amid the hurricane-force winds
  5. The tweet suggests otherwise nonetheless the 'sea state' was extraordinary. Near 17m waves offshore the Cornish coast.
  6. Phenomenal sea states today... @WinterExpert storm Imogen, today, Porthleven, Cornwall , UK , 60 ft plus swells, breaking over 100ft cliffs
  7. Tommorow is interesting it is unfortunate concerning the timing I expect cold rain in London however the downs might get pounded hard with the White stuff. It would not surprise me.
  8. Okay we get the point, no need to bring it up any further. Look at the models and decide for yourself whether something holds truth or not no need to target certain folk a gut feeling is just that is it not? Settle down... Ta
  9. Some of the strongest winds I've observed all day here over the last 30 minutes.
  10. I would not say that to be truthful clearly GFS overestimated the wind speeds in hindsight I'd should have stuck to the high res models like the ARPEGE a short strong burst of wind just now. *wrong quote sorry
  11. A tree nearby is making a lot of noise 'groaning' I hope it doesn't fall....
  12. GFS 6z has gusts of 66ph for me at 15:00PM quite a storm for London's standards.
  13. This is what the GFS 6z has for me: IMBY gusts in the mid to high 60's are highly unusual being not far from the city of London. It does dwarf anything I've seen for a number of years.....therefore it is notable.
  14. Things are only supposed to get going, build up after 8am so it is far too early to make a sensible judgement.
  15. Well we need to be careful of those rouge powerful gusts...as for Midnight GFS has only gusts in low 50's for Dover. I'm not sure about anyone else but I'm sensing this may be more worse than feared.
  16. Croydon Council are on RED ALERT due to the latest update from the MetO (60 - 70 mph wind gusts) (Heavy rain) (Flash Flooding & Structural damage) - Yamkin
  17. It went over me it was CRAZY the heaviest rain I've ever seen with the strong gusts visibility was much reduced got me a tad excited lol!
  18. Bleeding heck a good run who cares about not having a prolonged cold spell several snow events will suffice nothing worse than a lengthy dry spell of very cold weather.
  19. Very heavy rain blowing sideways in the wind..very bright echoes to the west of me.
