  1. ill take the middle one for all three please..no rain or snow just still dry and cool very nice indeed
  2. I like the fact he is stating on his page that he correctly predicted that the US would have its coldest winter in 100 years months before it happened..well it hasn't happened yet..last winter was the coldest in the US since 2009.
  3. Save for a few random storms I have had no real rain here since the end of May..another warm sunny day today
  4. even if we have the coldest winter on record this year it will be meaningless and pretty mundane to me when you have lived in a city that experiences 100+ice days per year
  5. This mornings runs looks exactly how I saw it yesterday esp for the south relatively dry and still very warm at times with HP becoming more and more dominant countrywide as August progresses...maybe you cancelled your trip too early?
  6. Cant spot anything im afraid as the link doesn't work?
  7. Beautiful day here today warm sunny and not a cloud in the sky I suspect we may hit 25 or even 26c again today in my location...so better than was forecast.
  8. I have remains relatively dry and warm where I am yes there will be some rain around but not much here and temps mostly around the mid 20s throughout so hardly cool either
  9. If it remains above 18c it will be only the second time in cet records we have had back to back 18+ July that I could see..the other time it happened was July 94 followed by July 95
  10. Winters drag on far too long...looking forward to spring come the end of November.
  11. you would absolutely love the autumn on the Canadian prairies there is something magical about this season that I have not experienced anywhere else..by mid August you can sense the approach of the coming winter everything bursts into autumnal colours regardless of the weather..so by the beginning of September trees are awash with the colours yellow, orange and red..the grass has stop growing and you get some fabulous sunrises and sunsets as the evenings and mornings grow cooler.
  12. Interestingly in Canada they classify hot days as anything 30c and above. Perversely cold days are classified as below -30c..so a place like Calgary gets 3-6 hot days a year and 3-6 cold days a year.
  13. But look how far above average the winter season temperatures are on those graphs..i think they are more concerning and noteworthy than summer temperatures being marginally below normal...all seasons need to be below average to see any significant rebound in artic ice.
  14. When I lived in Edmonton recess for kids was always outside unless the temperature fell below -23c
  15. Move to Alberta its exactly as you describe..apart from winters last for 6 months
  16. no surprise there with winter being the favourite...trouble is a UK winter is pretty shabby and a poor excuse for a winter season really
  17. I know..however Keith is stating the value is 1m above the mean when it is below the mean
  18. either I am reading this wrong or you are but the value posted is below the 1981-2010 mean which is the dotted line in the middle not above?
  19. my point is you wouldn't do without heating or a boiler in winter if you were freezing
  20. buy an ac unit problem solved..its not rocket science
  21. If you want to be PC it should be renamed 'native American' summer
  22. I enjoyed Aug 2006 after the unrelenting heat of July 2006 Aug was a refreshing release..cloudy and much cooler but relatively dry.
