Autumn lasted 6 months last time so by the end of this November we will have faced 9 of the last 15 months as Autumnal, time for winter proper to take over. I do believe that December will deliver nationwide snow and cold this year from the east/ne with strong nthn blocking and low pressure around the Med. glass half full we will win out this time around.
Dreary, grey, damp, mild mush and drizzly...perfectly summed up by the word GROTTY. Let us have a proper winter with crisp bright skies above a land of snow...dreaming!
Love to see where that chart goes from there, but look at the PV it is in tatters...remarkable for a third way through November when we are accustomed to seeing it really ramp up!
Biggest week 44 advance in 40 years, if nothing else that is impressive. Just have to wait and see if, along with other parameters, it is significant in terms of cold to our shores.
Cool breeze, stuck at16 degrees, no signs of the promised cloud burn back. At least it is dry but a few hours sunshine before the Tuesday/ Wednesday rain would be welcome.....come on it's nearly summer
Just just might be worth a little trip up to Salisbury Plain Weds/Thurs to see if the long deserted Snow Gods have paid a visit ahead of their planned return next winter.......?
