  1. They certainly are. Every one shows blocking North of the UK, so the zonal train definitely looks like hitting the buffers.
  2. Another great ECM day ten chart, IDO will love that. Edit, he does!
  3. Nope. Pretty poor days offering given we're expecting decent cold, tomorrow is another day.
  4. 25 years model watching me, and that t+240 ECM would provide a UK high at best. No trigger to get the proper cold into us yet.
  5. Or could simply just reinforce the Iberian heights. I see nothing much in the outputs so far showing any proper snowy cold.
  6. Ah, the old UK high, great news for the Greeks, boring for us. I hope that is not where we finish up
  7. Slack is the word I would use to describe the overnight input. Certainly no proper Northerly blocking on show yet.
  8. Without doubt an Amber was required. Took my Sister 3 hours to get home from Dundee to her cottage near Kirriemuir. Says it was much worse than the storm that had the red warning.
  9. A severly weakened PV is pretty much guaranteed though, you could put £150 on that!
  10. A reversal is not the be all and all though. 100% of runs show a significant decrease in zonal winds.
  11. Folk out skiing at the Lecht it seems. Web Cams - The Lecht WWW.LECHT.CO.UK Web Cams
  12. The only positive was the jet not getting further North than Central England for the whole run. I suspect the Scottish Ski resorts will be getting plenty snow.
  13. Indeed. Massively positive NAO at t+240, the total opposite of what I thought we should be expecting.
  14. Slowing of the jet, wedges of HP keeping the jet South, snow chances for some. Granted, there is no Northerly blocking, but we're in desperate times.
