  1. Just watched the BBC NI weather and he showed this for the next 7 days. One assumes this is some kind of joke.
  2. I think it depends where you live. The Northerly looks a little more toned down and mainly dry then us in Ulster are too far North when the breakdown comes.
  3. Aye, not liking the way things are going for us over here. The Northerly looks dry at the moment and when the Atlantic comes in, we're too far North. Still plenty time for change though.
  4. Good to see it getting busier in here now that snow is on the way. Let's hope for a better NNW to N Northerly with frequent snow showers to kick things off early next week.
  5. How do you know it would phase? The Greenland heights could be reinforced from the low in the Atlantic. Also, there's about 1000 miles between those systems, a lot can happen
  6. Looks great to me. Atlantic running into bitter cold, with heights over Greenland being maintained. Looks fine for longevity to me.
  7. UKMO + ECM + Met Office Forecast + Netweather Forecast + Anomaly predictions tells me the GFS is wrong, or if I was forced, it has an extremely low probability of verifying that way.
  8. Remember the IMBY South East England nature of the MT! The UKMO and ECM are rock solid on next week, also on the Met Office site, the first snow flake is showing for Carryduff and Pomeroy on the automated forecasts
  9. And of course I want it to track 100 miles further North! My gut tells me it will track through France and we all miss out.
  10. Just to confirm that you don't think this cold spell is going to happen and you favour a rogue GFS op run over the UKMO, ECM, Met Office etc?
  11. Short wave drama to the last! Will delay the cold plunge.
  12. After those heavy showers today it will be an ice rink around here.
  13. TV forecasts now also following the models for next week. All systems go.
  14. Streamer of the Irish Sea, very heavy and unforecast. Unfortunately, it's all rain!
  15. I think it's 90% certain we'll see the cold air push South on Sunday. What's still to be resolved is where the Scandi trough sets up as this dictates where any snow will be. The GFS 0z was pretty dry for us but the ECM a snow fest. Hopefully we'll know by this time tomorrow.
  16. Indeed, nearly came a cropper taking the dog out. What's your feeling for next week Pom? Snow heaven or another disappointment? The 0z ECM was a cracker with snow potential for us from t+168 to t+240.
  17. Aye, it's a dangerous position as milder air could easily encroach.
  18. Cannon fodder model, it really is. Stick to the GEFS when the Op is out of cinc with the other models.
  19. Lovely UKMO with the sharpness of the ridge into Greenland. T168 should be good.
