  1. A perfect front row seat to watch people try to make it around the mini-roundabout while sipping down a nice warm pint of Cwrw!
  2. Lots Thursday and Friday. Very possibly a bit tomorrow but nowhere near as heavy as the end of the week.
  3. Just watched and also watched BBC Points West- Ian Ferguson (stuck with English news down by me!) His graphics showed snow all the way through. Haven't had the chance to look at things in depth, but reading between the lines things seem a bit more south now, so wouldn't be surprised with all snow all across Wales. In other news, I've booked Friday off work, so that means we'll probably have naff all now. Didn't think how I'd get home Thursday mind!
  4. Flakes blowing around here! Enough about my colleague's dandruff though. I'm focussed on Thursday/ Friday. Hopefully things trend south and east closer to then. Anything before that is a massive bonus for me!
  5. Any experts say how reliable ICON is? If so, bank!
  6. Fair play. I may book it off and include a caveat that I may cancel! Win-win!
  7. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/bbcone Still available for a few hours here, at 19:20
  8. It only turns to rain briefly, if at all. Friday day we're back in the freezer.
  9. Thought the same. Certainly nothing mild. There looks like a little mild air MAY get in through Friday morning, but this quickly dissipates again. See Thursday 3pm, and Friday 2am snapshots.
  10. Yeah, lots of snow for most, but hedging bets certainly with regards to totals. What's sure though is we will all see snow at some point!
  11. Wow. The Countryfile forecast has us in for a bit! @Jayfromcardiff Some for all of Wales through Tuesday followed by showers for many Wednesday- 2-10cm for Wales by Wednesday evening. Then a plastering from Thursday 3pm through Friday, although some of it turning to rain for us down south for a time (typical!) Although guessing this could change! Derek's going for some rain for me! https://twitter.com/DerekTheWeather/status/967841768548044800
  12. Will do mate! I'm even telling mates to watch out for this week, so praying we don't get egg on our face again!
  13. Who's watching Countryfile then? First time I have since 2013! At least I can impress my country-dwelling team leader tomorrow in work! Seriously considering booking Friday off but really don't want to jinx it! What do you guys reckon?
  14. With Derek usually a bit happier when it's on the mild side, given he's already ramping- I think we may be in for a special week. Just wish I didn't have a boss who will go out in his Range Rover to make sure people get in to work!
  15. Really nice to see those out west getting something for once! Similar to what some of us had in December by the looks of it! Hopefully the stratospheric warming will give us something significant nationwide by the end of the month!
  16. Surprised with how little PPN is coming off the Irish Sea to be honest. Very hit or miss tonight, but wow it's gone cold. What I will say is this winter's been so close on a number of occasions, but with no real sustained mild in sight, there will be lots more potential to come I'm sure. Last decent February (for me anyway...) was 09, so we're due something then!
  17. The warm snow is on ice down here Andy
  18. Yep, all gone pretty sleety here, and with that that's me for tonight. Covering on the cars looks a little sad now- with the wind I hope not too many are stuck out in it because this is one icky night. Fingers crossed temps fall enough before we lose the ppn.
  19. I thought I was doing well west of Newport. Here's what a friend has got 5/6 miles away in Langstone though. He had zilch the other week though. Been snowing heavily for past hour and only now starting to settle on the pavements with me.
  20. Now blowing a proper blizzard! Could be some surprised people in the morning if it keeps up. 2 marginal events in a row. Strange times!
  21. It can be a sleezard whenever it's over us in Newport. Seems appropriate ?
  22. That sounds like an incredibly cooll name for a band, so happy to go with that. Bring on the blizzeet.
  23. Starting to turn a little more snowy though. Fingers crossed that cold air really mixes in as it sinks SE.
