Methuselah On Saturday I went to the local park with a friend and my shoes were caked with mud. Fast forward a couple of hours: we went for a walk and a guy was hosing down his garden. People uh?

Nope! Still raining, more showers been added to forecast for tomorrow now also.

Honestly about as much point in looking at the Met Office predictions in advance, as using a chocolate teapot to pour yourself a cuppa.

Even with high pressure in charge, the outlook looks showery.

Throwing it down here now after some sunshine this morning- you really couldn't make it up. Not only is the rain always worse/heavier than forecast, but it always seems to rain at some point even on a 'dry' day.

By far the worst period of weather I can remember in my lifetime. We really are getting nowhere in terms of the ground drying out. A few hours of sunshine and it starts to dry out, and then it throws it down again and we're back to where we started.

If this isn't enough to make someone consider emigrating, I don't know what is.

I would say that the latter would be more reliable, providing that you like your cuppa cold. 😁

Scorcher i have learnt over the years that for most of the time it is not even possible to go through a whole 24 hr earth day without any rain.  It truly makes me depressed 😔 😂

We managed sunshine almost all day today despite the standard MO forecast of overcast skies throughout. The rest of the week is set to be completely overcast but I bet it'll be largely sunny.

Say what you will, the BBC was spot on for my location, rain every afternoon of the "dry spell" just like the forecast said.
