Well. An early start for me today.

06.00 - Light snow in south derbyshire

07.00 - moderate snow jn 23 M1

07.10 - Heavy snow jn 22 M1 (so heavy that the snow had settled onto the outside of the fast lane - where the roads not gritted last night?)

08.10 to 12.00 - Northamptonshire - No snow fall

12.30 - snow showers around Jn 22 + 23 of the M1

12.45 - snow shower in south derbyshire

13.10 - another snow shower in south derbyshire.

I would say that the futher north and east, the better it is for laying snow.

All snow from this morning had melted on the fields between Northamptonshire and Derbyshire, except those fields around jn 22+23 of the M1.

Apologies as well for not doing the weather warnings, as I wasnt about, feel like poo, and also have a lot of work to finish.

Thanks TS for updating the thread.

Edit: 13-57pm Sun is nearly out. Dandruff size flakes.

Snow showers seem to be returning here- just had a couple of light ones.

2 hours of light snow this mornign gave a light dusting which is still there in the shade. Hopefully these showers will reinforce this dusting :D

In London today near Heathrow.

Just had a brief but very heavy shower of snow. Instantly settled on cars and roofs but melted within about 10 minutes of stopping.

Another 2cm snowfall for us, although it hasn't really added much to the still existing but thawing (and still deep) cover.
