Just woke up, morning guys. School for me today  - looking promising though for later and tonight. :D

A dusting of snow in north bristol. Just seen BBC forecast. looks like we're going to miss the worst, even this eve looks marginal. most of the main snow is heading north up the east of england and into scotland.

Gutted if that how it turns it out! :whistling:

Light covering here on the coast. roads look clear just snow covering the cars and roofs etc.Looks a lot worse inland looking on the webcams. Not snowing at the moment.

Run the Met Office radar. It is showing those showers gathering intensity and getting further inland south of Birmingham, most of you will get snow before the day is out.

Not starved at all. Got at least 1cm, which even if it doesn't sound much, has made everything white, and slippy under foot. :D

It looks like we got ours at about 2:30 this morning. Looking at the Met radar the precip at the moment seems to be moving SW ish along the dorset side of the border, to my SE.

It's definately creeping West though. Today was always going to be the main event for the SW, so fingers crossed. I'd give it about another 2 or so hours and then Somerset should be :)

Woke up with not a flake on the ground in Weymouth. Drove to work in Wareham at 5:30, still nothing.

Just over two hours later and it is absolutely hammering down outside (and has been for a while), a very nice covering indeed, huge big flakes, skies VERY grey and snowy in the E and NE.

That's good to hear, not far away now. It's still creeping slowly West though it does seem to be breaking up a bit :D

Not convinced we're going to get much. Even this evening's snow seems to be too far east for us i'm afraid. Gutted! Hope it changes direction

Nothing much here either. The minimum of cover. Fast moving high cloud with clear skies in between. Are we still meant to get snow later & overnight or has that changed now?

Cheers
