Another blizzard here at the moment. If it stoped i would be happy but this is only the begining also power outages not far reported from lbc 97.3

Just had another pathetic flurry, will probably get clear now!! I have seen better than this since 1991....Why only silly little flurries, why can't we have the stuff everyone is reporting? I'm only just out of West London!!!

Would love to see some pics of people reporting 15cm ! :o

Could someone please explain why no showers are developing around the wash but are south and north of there?

Excuse the poor artwork

Could you please type in the normal font size, I know it's exciting and all but it's just forum etiquette

The ball point pen I planted in the snow 3 hrs ago has now completely dissapeared so thats 6inches so far with heavy snow showing no sign of relenting. I cannot imagine how all those 20 and 30 yr old southern drivers will fair in this tomorrow most will never of driven in these conditions :D

LOL should be no delays here at all, not seen anything beyond a flurry!

Well still quiet here....the dusting from earlier still present.

Wonder how far inland this will penetrate & iff Berkshire will be just slightly too far north to benefit from this event.

Not to worry though...plenty more expected later in the week and after a week of skiing I am snowed out...still would love it to snow somewhat here though...wonder where there is a decent enough hill to ski down

Stupid question here

someone mentioned earlier to look at the 18z?? Im blind or stupid or maybe both!!

What? where? how?

:D

You can do it either here at the netweather data centre or at meteociel, or my site of choice, www.wetterzentrale.de (click top karten). But if you don't know your maps, as I'm guessing you might not, it might mean little to you.

Just take it from me, and the chat on the model discussion thread, that the gfs is one of the best runs ever. Seriously. :D

Should be with you very soon. I have had consistent snow now for the past 25 mins, so the ppn must make it out to you soon.

Snow will eventually penetrate further inland to your neck of the woods :D

Ok I dont know what is up with my luck here in Lowestoft but we still only have the dusting from hours ago. Temp has now gone from -1.6 two hours ago to 0 now. If you want snow keep away from the North Suffolk Coast.

Finally someone near who can verify.

Our time will come depending on the southwesterley track of these and the amount of moisture tied up in them.

However if it doesnt...the M4 shouldnt fair too badly for the morning...wishful thinking I think

Wow, you could hear a whip-like crack a fraction of a second after the ligtning strike, followed by a huge bang two seconds later.

Must have been almost directly overhead!
