Not had much snow here either - just flurries since this morning that have amouted to a dusting. But looks like the snow showers are now gathering to the NE and a spell of heavier snow maybe likely in a while.

Paul B, where are you in Suffolk. Its been snowing here for about 4 hours now with about 4-5cm. I interested as whats falling here can be traced back right through suffolk and out into the north sea. What would stop the snow flakes reaching the ground?

Light snow here in north hampshire. Roads and cars covered in a thin layer---with temp of -2.7c !!!

Didn't expect anything until gone midnight!

Amazing reports but can anyone tell me if East Berks area will see more than the panzy flurry we had about half an hour ago??

Hi guys

Just thought I would pop in to wish you all the best from the Yorkshire thread.

Did anyone see the thundersnow recorded on the BBC News 24 while someone was being interviewed about the weather tonight??

It was an absolute classic.

Looks like we have some more heavier snow heading into East Yorkshire from Holland/Denmark which should be hitting us within the hour.

Hope you all get what you want and more

Here in Iwade just had another shower. Snow blowing off roofs and along the road. Nice covering here and temp -1c.

Nice weather considering we are practically at sea level!!!

Snow just gets heavier here as seen by the radars bright echoes, PLEASE let this continue all night.

Send some of it up the coast to Lowestoft, still just a dusting here and no more than a odd 2/3 min light snow shower. Temp here is sitting at -0.4 that is sea level give or take a few meters and right on the coast.

[note my forecast sweet spot was Banstead Downs- although im not sure how many people picked this up the other day- this includes the secondary Wave-)

Steve-

Noted yiour comments yesterday. I'm a 6min drine from Banstead downs. More then happy to go up there for a measurement tommorrow night providing the roads are passable. It's about 170M up there. I'm only at 50m asl and doing alright so far :) Not that we need to worry about heights anyway

We seem to have our own little streamer on the Sussex coast now. We've had moderate snow now for the last hour. A good covering now - probably 2 or 3 inches I'd guess - too cold to go and measure!
