Anybody know what our chances are of getting more snow after this, seems to be dying now

i dont think it will die out, more or less i think we will keep the light snow coming for a while yet

Well it's been a bit disappointing here, got some overnight last night but nothing alse all day and theres very little left on the ground now, It was to be expected though, as we weren't and aren't forecast to get anything in the next 48 hours. Hopefully we will finally see our fair share later in the week.

tomorrow morning 9am looks interesting for the nw take a look at the snow risk map

though i am not really that convinced they are that accurate..they say one thing and another is happening lolol

The snow has turned fine and light now.

The radar is picking up a couple of intensified bands in the East Midlands heading northwestwards. Not as heavy as the snow we've recentl head but still good.

After that i think the snow will get lighter and fizzle out but hopfully it will turn colder and icy.

thing is our dew point has risen to 0c..that will drop as temps drops generally so not so bothered about that tbh. it amazes me how warm places like the channel island end up with more than we have 0.o

I hear it might snow here on thursday/saturday?? Anything in that, I'm not a big weather buff haha

yes a brief northwesterly incursion through thurs/sat but i think its pretty marginal / knife edge for our area at the moment though it could change

We now have a covering of 4.5cm's in under two hours and that is on the coast. Only light snow now but hopefully more to come.

It's gone very fine here now but still snow, temp starting to rise however from -0.6°C earlier to 0.1°C. Keeping this in mind I decided to go out and measure the snow again incase it turned to rain and we have an average depth of 14cm/ 5½ inches and drifts to a foot in places. I'm quite happy with that though, it's been quite a few years since we've had snow deep enough to wade in. :)

I almost feel like I'm in the wrong area - has been now snowing more or less continuously for 3 hours on top of the rest of the days fall. The snow is very granular atm, but it just keeps coming down. The undisturbed patches are up to 5" atm

Snow has turned lighter here now and temp has risen slightly from -0.6c to -0.3c. Dewpoint is -1.6c. The effect of the mild sector, according to the GFS, will be between now and 3am in the morning. I hope it doesn't spoil things for people on low ground :D

Coming down heavy again now, although with a slight temperature rise, has anyone else had their temperature rise in the last half an hour?

looks like we will keep the snow coming for a good hour or two yet..though looking south on the radar it does seem to peter out..though we are still getting a se->nw feed for now.

About 2 inches covering now, there did appear to be a few rain drops in it before though.. still snowing though now

Just heard a boom of thunder. Not sure where from though, seemed semi-distant
