Still waiting here in the East. It is now quite overcast and hoping the snow is on its way.

My car is frosted over already so temps seem nice. In fact theres a fair bit of ice around. Surfaces are dry and ready for the snow!!!

I was outside there and it is snow but really tiny flakes. As the temperature starts dropping it should give a covering but hopefully sooner rather than later.

yes its snow and slowly covering its a start ill take that for now i am not going to get my hopes up at the moment for a big covering

From my viewpoint to the south of the city looking north - everything's now shrowded in a misty ppn - and I even just saw a couple of snow grains. It's arrived. I'm underwhelmed :whistling:

Well the snow that is falling in central Fife at the moment wont douse any heather fires that's for sure as it's like dust! :whistling: Hopefully will get heavier later on.

Instead of everyone posting where it is not snowing - can some post where it is snowing?

The drifts will be forming soon :whistling:

All of 50,000 flakes scattered across the surface of the greater Leith area. If I scrunch my eyes up really tight I can just about pretend theres lying snow...but its halting now.

The danger with all this "the heavier stuff is coming later" is that it usually just doesn't pan out. One of the great metoffice lies (its what we were told was to happen on Monday night after all). It's always going to be later ... overnight ... the next day ... the next front ... the next depression. Good chance for central belters is that what we wake up to tomorrow is what we've got now. Up north though they probably have a good shout at it by the looks of things, fair play to them.
