Heavy snow here in Wales left a covering on all surfaces again and topped up te snow that was already there

Quite simply the heaviest fall of snow I've ever seen in the UK. Huge dumping overnight, and it's still falling, albeit more lightly now (edit 5.15 much heavier again). We have been without power much of the night. I don't know what the level snow measurement is, but this is incredible.

It looks to me from the radar that I've copped just about the maximum amount possible. I wonder how Dartmoor Matt is. Probably without power under a foot of level snow ... seriously.

Unbelievable amount of snow has fallen here overnight, and its still falling too. All major roads around here (M5 and A303) are either closed or lanes closed and accidents blocking the others! Certainly no let up in the snow either. I don't think I will be working today (coach driver).

Just been outside for a walk.......blimey, almost a foot of snow tbh. A farmer with a snow plough is trying to clear some of the roads around here but isn't really succeeding. Snow is still falling although its more grainy in nature. Ilminster is almost impassable and most roads around here are closed. Police advice is not to travel!

Hi WW,

I don't think it will last later than 8am by the looks of the radar - then again - I wasn't supposed to get any and - oops - whiteout here!

Judging by the farce yesterday, I'm going to guess that they can't even look out of the window let alone see whats going on everywhere else.

Very dissapointing here in Barry, started snowing heavy around 9pm last night and was still snowing when I went to bed at 2.30am. There is hardly any snow around, not sure if it was just that little bit to warm or because the ground was wet before hand.

Still snowing lighty at the momnt though.
