The Storm to the West of Le Havre is DEFINATELY A Supercell!

An amazing Split and Right Move from this Storm over the last 30 Minutes, watch it on the radar, as perfect a Supercell on Radar as you will see. Left Split heading towards the UK. Right Split turning hard right

Paul S

Should I be seeing this?

And do I count a few flashes and high based rumbles as a break of my storm field?! lol

Those cells on the radar between Normandy coast and IoW look like the kind of discrete cells you see firing along the dryline in the mid-west of USA, only these ones are high-based.

Getting cirrus shield from storm anvils over Channel overspreading the Sern sky now, with layer of dark altocumulus, classic thundery sky.

Just spoke to my mum in SW France and they have been told to batten down the hatches as storms and gale force winds are just about to hit. She then said that the forecaster said it was heading towards England, don't know if thats correct. Clouding up here to my south.

We've got a 'thunderstorm' here, most of it so far has been fairly loud, however we did have one CG which was extremely loud and the rumble went on for ages.

Thunder, lightning, rain here -- 4 rumbles in the last couple of minutes alone.

Oh and my conservatory is leaking! Happy days!

back up now guys, it shows the dry slot is far more extensive over southern wales and the west country, and that the aggressive showers are tracking towards london. i doubt whether the rain i the southwest will make it here. have to wait and see

The east have had nothing this week yet but the west have. :D

Over hype no chance the night is very young, all day tomorrow yet which is the big event originally for cold wet and windy.

http://91.121.93.17/pics/brack0.gif :D

We havent had anything this week. The East particularly the North East has had alot lately. Looks like no storms here for a lot longer yet. :)

The South East is going to have lots of fun tonight. :D
