Wow!!!...what a drive down the M6 from Manchester.....seven, count 'em, seven seperate thunderstorms!....Warrington, Sandbach, North Stoke, south Stoke, Stafford, Eccleshall, & Penkridge, with thunderstorm number eight just to the south of penkridge nr Wolverhampton...Driving was a hell of an experience with torrential rain, hail, and lots of lightning!.....I havent checked the radar yet, as I sure I'll need to change my underwear when I see it! ......Also the storm nr Eccleshall has spawned a very suspicious lowering of cloud around 20 mins ago, has anyone else seen this?

They were pretty vicious! An area of heavy (and hopefully thundery) rain moving in through Shropshire now, so fingers crossed for later!

oh no....We are entering our 4th heavy shower with lightning....this one look's the best so far with regular thunder....you can see the top's exploding Im sure you might catch this one as it's fairly large

Westher09, there's lightning in the linear cluster of cells skirting to your north, I'm on the northern flank of that cluster and I've sporadic thunder from it the past 10 mins and the odd flash

We had about 5mins of heavy rain.

Nothing else.

I thought i heared a rumble, but was probably just the rain on this buildings roof.

Theres does appear to be a line of storms to the far west at the moment, spanning north to south.

Hopefully they will bulk up and come here.

the showers could last well on into the evening, bit of a dry slot forming round here, but seeing as we had one mighty thunderstorm; lightning, moderate hail, very intense rain, we havent done badly . maybe some more later, mehopes?

Yep, been an active couple of hours. Cells forming in a line to WNW and heard several rumbles of thunder and saw one flash. The shower which just passed over me, has given one loud rumble of thunder. The notable feature though was the wind, very gusty, was expecting it as the leading edge came in, trees in the background were waving around wildly and leaves flying in the air If there was just one or two CGs or CCs in that, that would have been perfect.

Hope there's more to come for you....right, I'm off chasing, heading up the M6 towards stoke, catch you all later

yes your right..there are growing along the estuary....Some other people on here might get this storm..Its expanding rapidly..
