Its around 6 0C - certainly not the easterly blast I was expecting :cold:

well the bitterly cold air is yet to come, tonight will see a very cold night and tomorrow temperatures will be lower than today, it will only get to 2-3C not even above freezing in Mid Wales.

andy where in pontypridd are you exactly!!??? just that its dark here but not a sniff yet at all! would be good to find out!

Am above Ponty at the top of the Graig hill - Pencoedcae - always a difference of between 1 - 2 degrees down on what temps are in Ponty itself - can see across out the back to the Transmitters on the hill above Senghenydd - which on a day like today is a good place to see the snow coming across from that direction. Usually means a white out if the snow is heavy.

Shower was fairly heavy and short so not too much snow hanging about - ground is too warm i expect - stuck on our garden chairs though out the back.

Working in Merthyr Tydfil. We've just had a snow/hail shower. Lasted 10mins. Some settled on north facing slopes and roofs. Clear again now and cold. Some more clouds on horizon.

funnily enough that was my guess!! well my back garden backs onto the view of senghenydd just behind tesco - so we both obviously watching this dirty cloud coming across! just heard there also snow in treorchy as well, not a suprise though! temp here 0 degrees.

I'm looking over at Morriston way now, it's taking time to reach here (I'm 3 miles west of Swansea city). Sky looks very snowy

Edit - Snow falling now, small flakes

Good news is that the intensity of Saturday's snow has been upgraded a bit:

Rmgfs603.gif

Also an interesting feature for Monday night/Tuesday has developed which could bring snow:

Rmgfs1143.gif

I'm regarding anything after the weekend has Fantasy Island though until the models stop their ridiculous chopping and changing.
