Dewpoints are far more favourable to the west, in the east there is a warm sector (not big) but enough to have an impact on precipitation more esp on the southern edge of the rainband, as the showers/band moves through then his should be mostly snow for all areas.

I spy with my little eyes a gap forming in the band and this will have sheffields name on it no doubt. After the rain of course.

Hope so mate, thats what i was saying though 20 mins before it hit i had a temps of -1.2 and dew of -2.3

though with you further inland i think you'll be fine mate.
