One thing worth mentioning is.

With low's there is always increased wind.

Ive noticed th wind has picked up. So we could be looking at some drifting instead of linear snow.

Worth keeping an eye on .

its gonna drop right on top of you in the next 30 mins or so.

Unable to post image at moment but watching the nw radar, there is a small area of ppt just north of IOW which shot across from east to west whereas everything else is heading north.

Not at all smile.gif

PPN... the stuff we have so much of when its warm and falls as rain and so little of when its cold and falls as snow. Such is the weather in this country. laugh.gif

Thanks again Matt. I tried to google but it gave me nothing.

This weather watching has really caught my imagination. When all of the excitement has died down and there is nothing much to talk about on here then I will come back and try to learn all of this properly. :good:

A very light flurry here but nothing on the ground and nothing to write home about.

I've been looking at that Potsy. Almost looks like a small low there, and also off the sw tip - may well just be local convergences etc though ..

Hmmmm...

It strikes me that this arc of snow forecast across the south of the country is starting to come together into a blanket of snow across all southern counties!

Not had any yet but it is definately building to the north of here, and getting closer. Or am I clutching at the proverbial straws?
