South West England Cold Spell Discussion

Recommended Posts

Lightly in the last 10 minutes but yes over the last hour and a half.

Hello all, been reading the forum for many years during the winter months and have seen let down after let down. I still remember 79 and 81 in Weston-s-Mare. The latest weather reports for the South West still look good.

Its snowing quite hard in Weston, hows Bristol, its generally better in that direction?

P.S. How do you just posr rather than reply?

I've been looking at that Potsy. Almost looks like a small low there, and also off the sw tip - may well just be local convergences etc though ..

We've got the summer supercells to come Daisy smile.gif

Please don't confuse me with anymore just yet! acute.gif

Still nothing. We have had that orangey sky now since nightfall.

Light snow in Winterbourne again now. And at last things look like they might be coming together for an arc across, getting closer to something now. Just hope it keeps enough intensity.

OK. It sounds like this snow is starting to get to you Dogs  LOL

Well it looks like the main snow is still an hour or two away. I'm contemplating going to bed and setting my alarm for 1am.

Oooh, come on, it's building into Somerset from the NW.

Closer, closer.... It's starting to turn back on itself already.

That PPn to the East and SE is heading straight for us. Seems to be intensifying.

Only light snow flurrys here i hope we see a few cms later.

Yes, remains frustrating doesn't it? Surely the main event can't be far away? Some areas are getting an absolute pasting to the west of London.

Getting tired now; may shuffle up to bed. But then i'm bound to wake up at 3ish and want to peek outside!
