Don't want to boast BUT here in South Redhill you cannot tell where the road ends and where the curbs start....and it is still very heavy snowfall. Well I did miss out on the the streamer last Feb!!!!!

BFTP

Same here... in Woodhatch :)

Same here :) I'm North Redhill near the Texaco Garage :). Pretty nuts out there.

What's the A23 like? Must be white across even that road now!

11cm outside on my patio here in north hampshire - note PJs don't offer much protection from snow/cold

I saw on the news that the BBC news have a team broadcating just a mile or so up the road from me in Stratfield Turgis. I wonder why they chose that location?? They'll be "slumming it" in the Wellington Arms.

Still snowing here.

Guildford looks like its been hammered on, going to be a very snowy trip when I go there, hope the trains aren't too much of a mess on Thursday!

I know many to the south of me will now be salivating at the white fairy dust falling from the sky, but up here in not so snow drenched Suffolk I've been looking at the latest Fax charts for 96 (Sat) and 120 (Sun)...

96 Fax

120 Fax

You would, wouldn't ya...

PS - Of course modifications will be made to these charts, but the general theme for the coming days looks nice indeed...

10cms of lying snow here and still snowing. Will there be enough for a 'snow day' off work tomorrow?!

:good:

Wouldn't worry too much that far off, 18z GFS has southern UK with 850 temps at 12z Sunday below -10C!!!

Down here in Folkestone the 1/2cm we got is all turning to slush :good: with nothing more coming for quite a while by the looks of the radar. Really fancied whiteout conditions tonight and a day off work! Oh well....

Nice to read of other's excitement and reports of real snow though! :D

We have had 4cm snow in Brighton followed by a couple of hours of sleet/rain with the temp stable at 0.9ºC and dew point 0.0ºC. The snow has been melting on trees and cars, however the snow on the ground has failed to melt despite the rain. This to me just goes to show how important soil temps and the previous hard frosts (it was like a permafrost previously) are in getting snow to settle and stay. When it snows again I am sure that it will stick readily again.
