And how's it only -2C at Liverpool AP? I'm in South Liverpool right now and it's absolutely freezing.

Still no buses running, and my housemate's friend can't fly back to France because EasyJet haven't cleared their planes of ice. Never known chaos like it. Can I get to work over in the Wirral tomorrow?

It's warmed up to -2c now!! And yes, it is FREEZING outside!!

Not forgetting the Convective mass is now halfway over the North Sea and is showing little signs of being caught in the Southerly flow yet. If it keeps to its track it'll be knocking on the NorthWest door by early morning. NorthEast by 4am.

According to the BBC website the current data says it is -15C here. It can't be that low surely?

It's going off the nearest station to your location, which is Woodford and it did reach that a little while ago.

Ive noticed some of the stations are recording stupidly low temps, this could possibly be due to the snowcover on the station itself!

Just took a super dive here too, -4.5c here now, i did notice some rogue cloud around before, this was probably the cause of our silly little temperature rise Stephen!

EDIT: my temp has also just started to drop very quickly and we are miles apart

Anyone else suspicious of the readings at Woodford and Manchester Airport? It definitely hasn't been anywhere near -15C in my location and I'm only about 10 miles away, if that. I'm dubious about the very sudden drop at Manchester Airport and then the sudden dramatic rise. I can't remember witnessing anything like it before.

Like i said, they are probably covered in snow - There is no way it is even close to -11c in Manchester. It can't just go from -9c to -11c in 30 mins (xc weather updates)

I'm sorry - But they are false readings.

This afternoon I went from around 2c to -4c in around 2.5 hours, so it could be possible.

40c in 7 mins? Lmao where did you get that info? That's 6c a minute, sorry but that isnt possible. (Unless you live inside a kettle) :)

This temperature is messing with me - 4.9c to 4.5c - WHY CANT IT JUST KEEP GOING DOWN!

I'm sure I read it somewhere but apparently that isn't the record..this is:

Fastest temperature rise: 27 °C (49 °F) in 2 minutes; Spearfish, South Dakota, 1943-01-22

Fastest temperature drop: 26 °C (47 °F) in 15 minutes; Rapid City, South Dakota, 1911-01-10

So not as big a drop but you know it just shows whats possible!
