If the occlusion showing on the T24 Fax is correct we should have a nice Thames streamer going tomorrow am.

Think the weekend is a going to be a major dissapointment in our vicinity, we are already marginal in the SE corner the warm front will undoubtably turn it to sleet or rain.

Deciding whether to go for a few beers in Bricklayers, near North Station now.drinks.gif

Kent streamer, not a Thames streamer. Too much of a northerly component to the winds. Nevertheless, the BBC graphics don't look promising at all for the next 48 hrs!

If they do remain potent enough then they are more likely to hit Northants.

I was hoping that with the wind direction it would curl them down our way, nevermind!

Hope you OK

Well another amazing day of this winter here, heavy snowfall here this morning, which gave a good dumping. Snowing again this evening and absolutely no sign of a credible breakdown in sight - great stuff!

I do love these 'cold and dry' and 'marginal' situations!! :p

Essex are going to grit less at the weekend to save grit for the weekdays.

not happy reading that Essex county council statement

will grind the towns to a halt

how will the buses cope with not many of their routes being gritted ?

Not sure what's happening with the temps here in the Medway area, seem to be bouncing from +0.2 to +0.7, warmest it's been all day. However the windchill is making it feel the coldest all day.....lol! :cold:

Just looked at the 12Z NMM which has been the star model in recent days.

The good news is it indicates alot more showers tomorrow than today. This includes all of the region with these becoming far more widespread later on in the day. I feel Friday night/Saturday is going to be peak activity with regards to convection. We then have Sunday to look forward to!

I will add though that I still feel Sunday will be disappointing for those directly on the coast.

Yeah. Great idea. Wont catch me in the car sunday then, if this snowmaggedon event materialises. Not much happening here. Clouds now moving Sw which is an encouraging sign at least.

National BBC are not keen on anything really in the SE/EA tomorrow, local should be different (unless all the models are wrong!)

Looking like heavy snow hitting Chelmsford in 40 minutes judging by the latest radar cold.gif
