Youre on the coast. And i think there are slightly milder uppers coming over from the continent if im not mistaken.

Interesting forecast on the Beeb. Showed more snow on Monday, and the low coming in from the SW on tuesday. Dan Corbett said at the moment looks like the cold air will win out, so that could mean snow for most rather than it turning to rain. Will have to watch that one

Sleet and snow across the east of the region at first will become more widespread and lead to some fresh accumulations of snow developing in many areas overnight. There will also be a brisk, locally strong, very cold northeasterly wind. Minimum temperature -3 °C.

Met office hinting at possibility of sleet as well as snow which would support some slightly warmer air. How far inland you would have to be to guarantee snow and not sleet I don't know :D

No. There is a front moving up from France that will give us the snow this evening

People need to slow down and read the posts. Steve M has explained that our Snow in the SE is convective and this will be enhanced by the upper warm front currently poised across the channel. The parts currently predicited to have the heaviest snow are NW Kent, NE Surrey and NE Sussex.
