Flakes have gone very fine here now, but a bit heavier and it is sticking, already a dusting in places. Temp not budging any higher than 0.1°C.

Current temp at LJLA still at 1c. We had a slight covering of snow in South Liverpool overnight but as the morning progressed the snowflakes have shrunk to dots and are washing away the snow! If this carries on there won't be much left by the evening. Hope the rest of you are getting what you wanted!

It's coming down quite heavily here now, though as others have pointed out the grains are unusually light for the most part. Still getting on for an inch of fresh snow though, and those areas which had lost their previous snow cover have turned white again! biggrin.gif

Yeah....looks like a second band of light stuff is heading towards us from the SW, over welsh mountains-the mountains may disrupt it, who knows?

Is it just me or has the band intensified a little bit?

The snow has been comprised of tiny flakes today but it is slightly sleety in nature. Last night we clocked a few cm's so the snow must have been heavy at one point.

Currently the snow falling is melting whatever is underneath so a rapid thaw taking place.

Quick post from me. Wet small melty flakes here in Leyland. Can't see this doing anything major, just lasting a while...

Stopped here now for the first time ever i am not sorry to see the back of that horrible wet snow that does nothing.

Suppose was spoilt by all that dry powder snow last week

anyway if the models are to verify a very short warm up well upto about 6c then an NE/E from the middle of next week

After a whole day here in Bury where it's snowed consistently but produced nothing, I have just looked out of the window and its starting to settle, all the cars are white and the car park is on the way too. What will it be like at home which is 800 ft higher than here! Half an hour and I can drive home and see!
