Morning all,

Snow here in MK, only about 1cm so far but it is sticking and it's still snowing yahoo.gif

I can't see a main road from here but the side roads are white, we don't get any grit anyway.

Nice start to the week cold.gif

2-3cm now and still snowing, small flakes but lot's of them.

Snowing here in East Herts/West Essex border. Which should be interesting to those monitoring conditions to those forcasted / predicted by models.

Snowing hard here in West Cambs. Probably got a couple of cms already. On the radar, it looks like this is the fairly light stuff - the heavier bands are still south of us. This could be interesting if they continue northwards this morning. Might get some accumulations today

Large flakes, heavy snow here. Settling now. No gritting done on roads around here. Could be interesting morning on roads

Snowing here, but it's almost slush already as it hits the windscreen. Can't see any propspect of it settling.

Sleet and snow in Hertford but its not settling (yet)?

Edit: Very heavy snow now settling.

That's a surprise to me, I was expecting rain in Herts. I guess the system is further south than when I last looked

Snowing heavily here and settling, even on the roads. It's pretty wet though, so I can't see it remaining for long once it stops snowing.

An unexpected treat!

We started with sleet/rain unfortunately so although it's been snowing here for a couple of hours, it's only white on the grass with some slushy stuff on the cars. However, I live in the valley so it's probably getting whiter on the hills. Some fantastic big fluffy flakes earlier, now smaller but still snowing hard.

Got about an inch now and still snowing. The heavier band is moving northwards. Will it get this far?

Lighter snow here now in East Herts/West Essex. Couple of cm's settled. There is a heavier band of PPN over Kent, shame that is not here now as conditions still pretty good for snow, I suspect by the time it gets here, it might be the wrong side of marginal here and the snow will turn to rain.

If not, should be interesting.

Has been snowing here since I got up at 7:30am. Starting with fine flakes but now onto big fat ones. Settled on grass etc first but now everything white. We have about an inch. The best snow since the lot before Christmas.

It's so much better when it's unexpected.

Still snowing here... and settling in a fashion but not so much that it will stick around for long when it stops.

Snowing quite heavily in Cambridge, left St Ives at 06.45 with a light covering and steadily got worse as I headed towards work

Temp currently 0c and dewpoint at 0c, think we still have some more to come

My daughter waited in St Ives for a bus, 7.45 and 8.05 never showed and the 8.25 did turn up and was banged out

Think she had the best idea and went home again, might join her too if the buses are that useless
