August CET

I am not from UK but I expect first decade of August will be pretty warm(but not heatwave!!!!).Temperatures won't be over 30°C,maybe just for a 1-2 days in Southeastern parts of UK !!!!!

In second decade ,especially,after 15th of the month I expect more active atlantic lows coming to you in Westerly jet!Thet means pretty unsettled and cooler end of the month,and my opinon is that will be first sign of very wet and cool Autumn in big parts of UK after one warm and mostly settled summer !

And now CET for August.... I'm going for one average month,maybe slightly warmer----> 16.5°C

Difficult one this, but I'm thinking 16.3 with cool and unsettled weather early and late, but a warm and dry spell mid month.

Can't see anything than a slightly above average CET month at best. My guess is 16.4 degrees. I expect lots of average weather with the atlantic ruling the roost but less of a south westerly airstream and much more of a north westerly/westerly airstream thanks to mid atlantic high influence pulling back south west at times to allow fronts and low pressure to make more of an impression.

Could be a chilly wet end to the month with a vigorous atlantic steam rolling in.

Once again it will be minima which will help keep the CET up, I'm expecting maxima at least in the north to be consistently below average - much like July.

In overview less of a pronounced NW-SE split in the weather.

Another summer will go by without the influence of a euro high or strong heights to the NE dominating and another one when the azores high has toyed with us but in the end as been a real spoiler..
