I was just watching this on the zoom loop...and they are moving north and growing

havent got the lightning like the ones up northy just yet

Not only that i think i can see a funnel.

looking good round here but are we going to see anything thundery ???

Twister at this rate yes...but later...storms I think are building down South and are moving Nortth to hit us later..

I have seen my first lightning since somewhen in 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One flash & one rumble 10 mins ago.

Deluge in BA12 and the surrounds, temp only 15.3c too but humidity 84%!

Ach, all gone to pot here, everything dying around us, just left with some moderate rain nearby with any heavier showers now south of the Humber and well away from here. I doubt they'll last much longer.

It promised so much as well!

Still only a couple more years and hopefully I'll be out of this country! :lol:

Paul I have two main pics im after one of a lightning bolt through a twister (usa) and the other hopefully tonight of a lightning bolt at night hitting cheltenham viewing from the top of the hill

Hope you are enjoying the UK storms, I've been in Florida since Saturday and haven't had one yet lol. Although I did see a lot of lightning from an anvil about 150 to 200 miles away one night!

Anyone in S Wales got Thunder? A decent thunderstorm has just passed to my south of Swansea, heading towards Swansea Airport and Gower now. Saw some decent cloud to ground lightning and some very loud rumbles from it.

Interesting...

If you look at the wind data, theres a convergence line running from the west country all the way upto the wash. It's starting to have an effect now that temps have risen sufficiently to get good convection going. This area is where we'll see the biggest storms developing through this evening and lasting into the early hours, only slowly pulling away to the SE as the low moves towards france.

An so i dont get an off topic warning.. after seeing blue sky for a couple of hours in patches it looks a bit menaceing, but nothing like yesterday... fun and games for the south today..

Nice one, your on your own in Wales at the moment but some showers are now forming across the border and heading into Wales - so we'll see!

I am hoping the CZ Line keep going until this evening and extends across to E Anglia, then I can take a trip North to try for some Lightning.

Am about 0.01% Confidant of this happening :lol:
