Unfortanatley our chances were early this morning and very early afternoon, but the showers and cells died as they hit our area. As the radar stands at the moment, we have no chance of even catching a shower.

The closest to a shower is 35 miles to our south, and since we are under a North East air flow at the moment they wont be hitting us.

The band of showers from this morning which did hit us produced nothing but rain either I'm afraid.

Come on People Please take pictures - Then the rest of us can see these events seeing as we are all bored and Storm Starved.

post-24-051876000 1279808860_thumb.jpg - I myself snapped this earlier over C London

Paul,

That's the screensaver off my mobile phone!

I'd take a picture but my phone is also my camera at the mo.

All quite here in White City - just clouds, clouds and clouds and not even interesting ones at that.

Thunderstorm in Norwich, most of the thunder and lightning was to the south and east of here but the rain was remarkably intense- at one stage it was blowing along in "sheets" like you would see in a heavy snow squall. Parts of the campus have 1-2 inches of floodwater running across the paths.

Got some pretty good photos of the cloud as it approached. There's a sense that this might be it for today, but there is another cell just forming now to the SW on the radar, so second helpings aren't out of the question yet.

Wow impressive. Take a look at the ring of showers stretching all around the East Anglia coast, yet not penetrating inland!

I think my eyes must be deceiving me, because I can't see any showers on that radar picture round the south east coast (sadly) :D

I know everyone is as excited as Christmas about the little bit of thunder expected or overhead. But can we please try and keep to a minimum the posting of 'nothing happening here' or 'it's raining a bit' please? It's making it very difficult to keep up with the flow and wading through 'non-posts' to find where things are actually happening.

Cheers! :D
