Will that reach the u.k? if so, what areas would you say are likely to be affected by it?

Yes it will.

The 'plume' is now in place in the south with an elevated moist layer that is being destabilised by troughs. The plume will be in place for at least another 36 hours here so lots more chances of seeing some activity. Cells to the south of the main band popping up vigorously now and lightning visible to my south

not sure what to make of it, looking at my new fangled NW 5 min radar looks like main part of this band slipping to the east (hence thunder and the link in Stourbridge) the less intensive bit of the band is almost on us there, but nothing more than active skys at the moment... with the radar showing that there are some showers building... if it turns electrical or not who knows... be good just to see some rain at the moment...

Gonna be keeping my eyes open tonight, might even pull an all nighter since I'm up early tomorrow anyway. I get the feeling a storm could break out here at any moment, it is so warm and humid it's like breathing soup.

Very Humid late evening at 19.3C, and good elavation on these storms, so if any decide to come this way they should be decent :whistling:
