Hot and sunny Mediterranean, cloudier and more unsettled to the north

Thursday

Hot and sunny across Spain and Portugal on Thursday. The fine weather persists through the Mediterranean throughout the day. Some cloud and showers affecting the far north of Italy, but most of the country should be dry and sunny. More sunshine to come through Greece and Turkey as well as staying dry. Plenty of sunshine to come across France, although some low cloud will affect western coasts and times. More cloud and some drizzle in the Low Countries and northern Germany. Most of the rest of Germany and Poland will be fine with good spells of sunshine. Some cloud and showers for Switzerland and Austria. A fine day in Denmark with lots of sunshine here. More sunshine to come through Norway and dry too. A few showers in northern Sweden but the south should be dry and sunny. Windy with heavy showers in Finland, but mainly dry in the Baltic States.

Friday

A chance of some thunderstorms over central Spain. Fine through Portugal and the rest of Spain with very warm sunshine. Fair through the Balearics and Italy as well as Greece and Italy. Some showers may affect the far north of Italy. Plenty of sunshine across France. Some hazy sunshine in the Low Countries and northern Germany. The rest of the Low Countries and Germany should be dry with further spells of sunshine. Poland will be sunny and dry too. Fine through Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland. Some drizzle in Denmark where it will be windy too. Low pressure brings cloud and rain over southern Norway. Cloud and some rain in southern Sweden but fair in central and northern Sweden. Sunny spells and mainly dry in the Baltic States. Showers or rain in eastern Finland but fair to the west.

Unsettled across Britain and Scandinavia

Today

Today the hottest weather is forecast to be across Portugal, Spain, southern France across into Italy, Greece and Turkey. Rain is expected across England today with rain and showers expected across Norway and Denmark. Most of Sweden should be fair dry while number showers are forecast across Finland and northern parts of Russia where to showers as well along with sunny spells to come across the Baltic States. From Portugal through Spain into France to Germany across the Low Countries into Poland and Belarus, the weather looks dry with good sunny spells. High pressure will also bring a dry, sunny and very warm day the Balkans and the Adriatic Region. Most of Italy will be hot and sunny just the odd shower developing in a few places late in the afternoon. Fine day to the Mediterranean with little in the way of cloud.

Saturday

Saturday sees an area of rain spreading in across the United Kingdom with becomes quite windy. Outbreaks of rain are also forecast Sweden and Finland where it will be heavy. Apart from the odd shower in the west, Norway will be dry with sunny spells. A few showers will be scattered around Denmark looks dry across Belgium, Holland. Very warm with sunny spells across France, Germany, Poland, Belarus and most of Russia. Another very warm, summery day to come across the Balkans and the Adriatic Region with sunny skies. A number of heavy showers may develop across the Alps and late in the afternoon a few could affect the far south of Italy, but for much of Italy, it should be dry sunny and very warm. Fine across Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica and the Balearics. Strong northerly winds will prevail from the Black Sea down through the Aegean Sea.

Outbreaks of rain are also forecast Sweden and Finland where it will be heavy. Apart from the odd shower in the west, Norway will be dry with sunny spells. A few showers will be scattered around Denmark looks dry across Belgium, Holland. Just a few showers may develop across eastern parts of Spain today, but for most of Spain and Portugal it looks sunny and hot. Wednesday

Staying warm through Poland with dry weather here as well. Switzerland, Hungary and Austria will be dry with sunny spells. Low pressure brings some cloud through the UK with a few bursts of showery rain. Sunny spells and dry in Denmark. Fair for the Baltic States and Finland. More sunny spells in Sweden, although cloud and some showers in Norway.

Thursday

Warm for Portugal and Spain on Wednesday. Staying dry through the Balearics and for Italy to with plenty of sunshine here. Greece will be sunny and dry too, and there will be further periods of sunshine across Turkey. Dry with lots of sunny in France. It will be very warm here, and there wil be further high temperatures and sunshine in Switzerland and Austria. A few showers in the Low Countries, and plenty of sunshine for Germany, although some rain in eastern Poland. High pressure bringing lots of sunshine in Norway and Denmark. There will be a few showers in eastern Sweden, but overall dry with sunny spells. Cloud and some showers through the Baltic States and Finland.

There is a risk of some showers developing across Britain, Finland, The Baltic States and across eastern parts of Poland. A few showers too across the Adriatic Region with a few heavy ones later in the afternoon across Italy. Very warm, dry and sunny conditions are expected across the Balkans. A few heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected in the central Mediterranean with much of the Mediterranean fine and summery with light winds.

Friday

Rain moves into England on Friday. For France and the Low Countries expect a dry, warm and sunny day. A few heavy, thundery showers develop over The Alps and Italy today. Warm and dry across Germany today. More hot sunny weather to come across Spain and Portugal. Just an isolated shower may be found across the Adriatic Region and the Balkans today otherwise it's to remain dry, hot and sunny for most. High pressure will also give much of Scandinavia a fine, dry day but cooler across Scandinavia. High pressure will also give much of Scandinavia a fine, dry day but cooler across Scandinavia. Quite a few heavy showers are forecast for Belarus, parts of the Baltic States and western parts of the Ukraine.

Saturday

Saturday we expect lots more in the way of heavy possibly thundery showers will affect Britain and most of France. Still hot and sunny weather prevails across Portugal and Spain and this extends eastward across the Balearics, into Sardinia, Italy, Greece and Turkey. A few heavy showers will develop across the Czech Republic today. One or two isolated showers across Romania area of most of Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece and the Ukraine, will be very warm and dry. One or two isolated showers develop across Poland, otherwise a dry day here and most of Germany will be fair and dry. Sweden will remain a bit cooler but largely dry and sunny as will the Baltic States. Most of Russia will be dry and sunny apart from some heavy showers in the south.
