Today


Cold across western Europe today. Cloudy and wet too with spells of rain across England, northern France, Belgium, Holland and northern parts of Germany. Southern France and southern Germany should be dry. Cool but sunny weather is forecast across Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Dry as well across Russia, The Baltic States, Belarus into Poland and the Ukraine. Snow will fall over the Alps with some rain in the far north of Italy and a few heavy showers in the south. Fair and dry across much of the Adriatic Region and fine and sunny across Greece, Turkey and Romania. Mostly sunny and dry across Portugal and Spain with a risk of showers around the Balearics.

Warner across The Balkans and Italy today. Cold and windy with outbreaks of rain across England. Most of France will be fair and dry as will Belgium, Holland, Germany and Denmark. Cloud and rain across northern Spain today. Plenty of sunshine elsewhere though, with a fair day for Portugal too. Fine for the Balearics and most of Italy, although some morning fog in northern Italy. Greece and Turkey should be fine throughout with more spells of sunshine here throughout the day. A wet day in most of western and northern France, but the southeast should be dry with sunny spells to come here. More cloud and rain in the Low Countries and much of Germany, with some rain in western Poland. the east of Poland should be dry with sunshine, and it should be dry for Hungary. Switzerland and Austria too. Cloudy and wet for much of Denmark. Sunny spells in most of Norway and Sweden as well as being dry, but some cloud and rain in the far north. Rain affects France, fine and warm in the Mediterranean, cold and fine for Scandinavia

Tuesday

Much of Spain and Portugal sees a fine and warm day, although north-western parts of Iberia may see thicker cloud and some drizzly light rain. Dry with good sunny spells through the Mediterranean and across into Italy. Thicker cloud and a few showers are possible for the Balkans and into eastern Europe. The eastern Mediterranean is expected to see fine weather, with warm conditions in Greece and Turkey. Cloud and rain affects much of France, heavy in the north-west, with light rain extending into Germany also. A fair day for Switzerland, Austria and Hungary with some good sunny spells. Norway,together with much of Sweden and Finland will be fine and dry with plenty of sunshine, although feeling cold with snow showers in the far north. Scattered showers also likely in the Baltic states, together with sunny spells.

Wednesday

Cloud and rain spreads into north-western Iberia, heavy at times. However, much of central and southern Spain remains dry and fine and becoming very warm through the day. The Balearics stay dry and fine, with sunny spells also extending across Italy. Unsettled conditions affect the Balkan states, with some heavy rain at times. Breezy conditions likely through the eastern Mediterranean, with the risk of catching a shower in Greece, although Turkey should remain mostly dry. Heavy rain continues to affect France, especially in the northern half of the country. Germany, should see a decent day with some sunny spells, although fairly cool. Switzerland sees a dry day with hazy sunshine, whilst Austria is mostly dry. Heavy outbreaks of rain affects southern Poland, the Czech Republic and Ukraine. Northern Scandinavia sees another fine but chilly day overall with good spells of sunshine. Some showers are expected through the Baltic States and also southern parts of Sweden. Denmark should be largely dry with sunny spells.

Rain sweeps through France, thundery showers for Greece

Outbreaks of rain affect the north-west of Iberia, whilst southern Spain sees a dry and very warm day, with dry and fine conditions extending across the Balearics. Northern Italy should also stay dry with sunny spells, although showers are expected in southern Italy during the day. Unsettled conditions affect the Balkan states, Hungary and Greece, with gusty winds and outbreaks of rain, heavy and thundery at times. Western Turkey may also see showers although it is drier to the east. Heavy rain extends across much of northern and western France during the day, although southern France remains mostly dry but cloudy. Central Europe is mostly dry, with some sunny spells for Germany. Switzerland and Austria will see fairly cloudy conditions, with some light rain in eastern Austria and the Czech Republic. Rain also affects southern Poland. Scandinavia will see mostly fine conditions, although with cloudier skies in Denmark, southern Sweden and the Baltic states, with the chance of a shower. Northern parts of Norway and Sweden are likely to see sunny spells but feeling chilly.


Thursday

Southern Spain and Portugal will have another dry and very warm day. Cloudier skies affect north-western Iberia, with some drizzly light rain possible. Fine conditions also extend through the Mediterranean, with warm sunshine for the Balearics and Italy. Southern Italy and Sicily will see more cloud, with risk of a shower early in the day. Much of the Balkans will have a fair day with sunny spells, although with a few showers for Greece. An area of heavy and thundery rain should clear through Cyprus overnight, and affects western Turkey during Thursday with some heavy downpours likely. France sees a brighter day with good sunny spells across the country. Fine conditions extend through the Alpine states and across southern Germany. Eastern Europe is also mostly fine, with sunny spells for Hungary, although more cloud for Poland and Ukraine. Northern Germany is breezy and fairly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain in the north. Blustery showers affect Denmark, which may merge into longer spells of rain. Sweden is likely to be cloudy with rain in the south, although fairly mild. Much of the Baltic is cloudy with rain at times. Brighter but cooler conditions affect Norway, with showers around western coasts.

Some showery rain affects western France, with cloudy skies and outbreaks of patchy rain in southern Germany. A few heavier showers for Switzerland, although mostly dry for Austria and Hungary. Fine conditions also affect Poland and Ukraine. Northern Germany and Denmark may see a few showers, with cloudy skies through much of the Baltic, although feeling mild. Outbreaks of rain are likely for Finland . Persistent showers in western Norway, with breezy conditions.

Persistent and heavy falls of rain for western Iberia during Thursday, although southern and eastern Spain remains mostly dry. The Balearics are mostly dry and fine, although a few showers are likely in Italy. Greece and Turkey stay fine and warm. Mostly dry conditions affect France, although fairly cloudy in the west. Heavy and persistent rain affect Portugal and western Spain during Thursday. Drier conditions in central and eastern Spain with sunny spells. A fair amount of cloud across the Balearics and Italy, with some showers at times. Southern Italy is brighter, with fine and dry conditions extending through Greece and Turkey with plenty of sunshine. Cloudy skies for western France with brighter conditions further east. Central Europe is mostly dry with sunny spells for Germany and Switzerland. More cloud extends across Austria, Hungary and eastern Europe. A brisk westerly wind affects Scandinavia, with showers for Denmark and Norway. Outbreaks of rain affect Sweden and Finland at times too.

 

Friday

 

Cloudy skies affect much of Iberia, with outbreaks of rain still persistent, occasionally heavy in central Spain. A few showers for Portugal, but drier along the Mediterranean costas. Dry conditions extend across the Mediterranean, with good sunny spells for Italy, Greece and Turkey. Cloud and outbreaks of rain also affect France during Friday, with cloudy skies extending into Germany and Belgium. A few sunny spells across the Alps and it stays dry in Switzerland and Austria. Sunnier with a good deal of dry weather expected from Poland eastward across the Baltic States, Belarus into most of the Ukraine and Romania. Further spells of rain spread in across England. Much of Europe is looking settled dominated by high pressure. It will be fair and dry from France across the Low Countries into Germany and Poland, although an area of heavy rain is expected from Finland through the Baltic Region into the extreme northern parts of Poland and Germany. This rain will also affect most of Sweden, Norway and Denmark. It will remain dry and pleasantly mild across the Adriatic Region with all of the Balkans also dry and mostly sunny. Lots of sunshine to come across Turkey, Greece and Italy today. A better day to come across Iberia with sunny spells across Portugal and Spain, although a few showers may affect central Spain. Southwesterly gales are likely to affect Britain, northern France, the Low Countries and across into Sweden and north eastern Europe.

Cloudy skies affect a large part of Spain during Saturday, with some patchy rain in central and southern Spain. Brighter conditions are expected in Portugal. Dry conditions extend through the Mediterranean, with good sunny spells for Italy, Greece and Turkey. Mostly cloudy conditions also affect much of France, with some patchy rain. Likewise, fairly cloudy conditions are found in Germany, although with a few sunny spells breaking through in Switzerland and Austria. Hungary and Ukraine also remains dry. Windy conditions affect Denmark with showery rain in the morning. More persistent rain is found through the Baltic states and Finland. Sweden is mostly dry but cloudy, whilst showers are likely in western Norway.

Sunday


Spain and Portugal will have a fine and warm day on Sunday, with the best of the sunshine in the south. Fine and dry weather continues for Italy, Greece and Turkey. Breezy conditions bring outbreaks of rain across central and northern France, with cloudy skies and showery rain also affecting southern Germany and Switzerland. Austria will see showers move into the west later, whilst Hungary stays dry. Persistent rain spreads across Germany during the day accompanied by blustery winds. Heavy rain also affects Denmark and southern Sweden, with showery rain also extending into the Baltic. Increasingly blustery winds also bring showers into western coasts of Norway later in the afternoon.

Strong gales will also be found in the Bay of Biscay with outbreaks of heavy rain sweeping and across the United Kingdom and western parts of France. Eastern parts of France along with Belgium, Holland and most of Germany should be fair and dry with variable cloud and sunnier spells. Scattered showers are possible around the coasts of Denmark. Most of Norway and Sweden will be dry, mostly sunny and rather cold well. Outbreaks of rain, heavy in places, affect Finland, northern Russia and Belarus. Some rain may affect the extreme south of Poland, otherwise fair and dry. Dry across the Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Occasional showers may be found across Sardinia and Corsica but dry across the Balearics. Patchy rain is possible across eastern Spain but much of Iberia will be fair and dry.
