Today

Cooler across much of Europe today with the warmest weather reserved for southern Spain and Portugal. Mostly dry and sunny across England today. Showers and rain are expected across France but in the south it will be dry and very windy with the mistral continuing to blow. Unsettled as well cross Norway, Sweden, down through Germany with outbreaks of persistent rain while some heavy showers are forecast across Belgium, Holland and Denmark. Another area of rain will stretch from Finland down through the Baltic States into western parts of the Ukraine and Romania. Most of the Adriatic Region should be dry with sunny spells. Just a few scattered showers are expected across Greece and Turkey with sunny spells. Apart from a few showers in the extreme southern part of Italy, it will be dry and mostly sunny. Dry, sunny and warm weather continues across Portugal and Spain.

A wet day across England. Much of France looks dry except for a few showers across central France. The strong mistral will persist in the south. A wet and windy day across England. Much of France looks dry except for a few showers across central France. The strong mistral will persist in the south of France today. A fine, dry day across England and northern France with sunny spells. Some light rain may affect central France with the south dry becoming less windy. Still a rash of heavy showers are expected across Belgium and Holland with outbreaks of rain across central southern parts of Germany to Austria and the Czech Republic. Northern parts of Germany looks dry with sunny spells as does much of Norway and Sweden. Much of Poland will also be fair and dry with just a few isolated showers. Colder weather with showers moving into the Low Countries and northern Germany, but central and southern Germany should be dry and bright with warm sunshine. Cloud and some showery rain to come in northern Poland, but dry and sunny to the south. Further spells of sunshine through Austria and Switzerland as well as Hungary once morning mist and fog patches have cleared. To the north low pressure will be centred across Scandinavia.
