Can someone let me know which way cells are moving please?

- In Wales, Central and Southern England = SW-NE

- From approx N.Midlands Northwards = more S-N

- Most of Scotland = SE-NW

- Ireland = NW-SE

All dependant on where you are in relation to the LOW centre, fascinating to replay the radar!

Without being rude, its not a storm then, its a heavy convective shower. Hopefully it will turn into a thundery shower and head up here.

If I never seen the radar, I would describe the situation at the moment as uninteresting although I did catch a moderate shower earlier and saw the clouds of that heavier shower that some were talking about earlier but it did of course weaken as it got here.

wow, what an afternoon, some amazing thunder and lightning, although nothing over the top of me, to the north towards boston and to the south of me the clouds have been very dark, fork lightning has been amazing to watch and the thunder has been very loud.

Best storm I ever seen was sitting on the patio of Ye Olde White Horse in Spalding in 1997/8 The fens used to be great for storm watching... :good:

hi, i come from chichester and for me the best place to watch storms was up on the trudle at goodwood, could see for miles and watching the storms come rolling in was amazing, and the best tornado i have seen has been in the tiny village of Moulton nr spalding which is where i am living now, bypassed my house by 500yds, the damage to the church and surrounding area was a sight i would rather not see that close to me again. lol happy storm watching everyone.

Well I rekon the NE has used it's quota for storms this time around it just seems to be heavy showers passing through. Mind you it's good to see other areas like Edinburgh getting storms because they're not as regular up there.

Can't see any lightning, but just had another rumble. Not the most active cell in the world but I guess it'll suffice for now (he says reluctantly)

The band is intensifying as it moves over Durham, which ties in with Gavins post about thunder heard. Hope it continues it's on a collision course for me....I may have to eat me words! :whistling:
