Going to be a close call here, probably close enough to the eastern edge to see lightning IF it does produce anything to my west.

Hopefully it edges just a touch more east in the next hour or two as it comes up through the London area. Gonna be a shocking rush hour for E.London and wet for all.

Is that stuff in the southeast thundery or is it just going to bring very heavy rain?

Don't want to check lightning detector myself as I don't wan't to see there being no Sferics in our area.

At current, it's very convective. Thunderstorms reported down south, looking at the MetO Aviation site.

On the plus side, IF there is any lightning from now in there's a very good chance we'll know about it :D

Big bright flash of lightning and loud bang took me by surprise a few minutes ago and another flash and bang just now, though have had heavy rain for last half hour. Got a line of quite potent storms just to the east moving north and clipping here in S London.

Just had a shower come through here but thats all, just a shower!

We had a few gusts probably around 15-20mph as it came through.

There certainly weren't any 60mph winds though!

Here we go, what others to the North and East of me can enjoy. There is also a bit of action over the Channel Island currently and some more to come in France by the looks of it.

Why would anyone want to do that?...apart from perhaps a 6 year old with an inferiority complex.....anyhoos, up here we've had thunder & lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes and even some snow, bet you haven't! :80:

Going by the lack of reports of any real convective weather it is a shock that all of these storm forecasts issued a MODERATE WARNING.

If this is all a moderate risk can bring here then thats it, I'm outta here!

'Salut' :bomb:

Actually, I have just had a 110mph gust!

Nothings left. :(

Think the thundery activity has stayed just east of central London moving north across SE and E London. All quiet now after 3-4 flashes and rumbles, just plain rain.
