I can only imagine that JP supports Newcastle as, well, he lives there, and not many Geordies support clubs apart from the toon!

My dad tells me the current temperature at home is 0.3c, so a slight air frost should occur soon, before becoming stronger later on. Ice a big problem.

Haha, wrong.

But I'm not a Geordie so that throws it open!

It was a free kick on a very cold Saturday in November!

If we can't have the bitter cold of this time last year I have to say this weather will do me just fine for now.

I obviously hope January onwards will see us looking east or north east ...

Any remaining snow patches should begin to freeze now as temperatures slip back down towards freezing, my street will be a nightmare in the morning with all that frozen slush!

One obvious symptom of me being a meteorology geek is that since the snow showers turned to a sleety mix, the most important consideration for me was that more than 50% snow cover survives until 9am tomorrow...

For crying out loud you're poo at guessing games ;)

Forest!! I'm from Nottingham.

Right, before you start I know we're shafted this season so don't rub it in!

Quite a turnaround for you guys under Mowbray so far this campaign.

I'd probably get wrong for posting this on the Model thread, but the 12z CFS is a gd'n, blizzards on xmas and ne'erlies after, and a bitterly cold february, as well as a certain early mid jan cold snap :winky:

Just for giggles like saying its the CFS but it shows the possibilities!

How reliable is the CFS? Looks like a loan ranger in terms of that pattern of weather it is showing, seems to be a bit extravagant to me!

December 17:

Further light showers, mostly of rain and sleet fell in the early hours of the morning, causing further ice patches to form. Snow remained lying on all surfaces, but was patchy at 9am. For the first time since December 27 2010, 50% snow cover on grass was achieved.
