Patience, the front is not here just yet, the slower it comes in the better and the more chance of the cold front behind catching up the warm one in at the front.

Yes that would be good, if the cold front catches up the warm front to form an occlusion then that would be better for everyone!

Its still moving to quickly for the cold front to catch up i cant see it happen, but hopefully some snow before it turns back to rain.

My parents are in Midsomer Norton and my sister is due to drive to see them this afternoon from Guildford, Surrey, but I have a feeling they may arrive in time for snow, and drive home tonight through it, so might tell them not to bother! Good to see the snow though, don't get me wrong, and here in Surrey we are full of high hopes for late this evening :drinks:

Whats the chances of Sherborne in Dorset seeing any?

Should see some soon - the higher you are asl the better. Should start as sleet/snow but likely to turn to rain.

Well having bitten the bullet and pulled my debit card out of moth riddled purse I can see this front coming in via the radar and I have to say that I am not a big fan of those increasing freezing rain patches.

I knew you wouldn't be able to resist the "snow hunt" DD!... :p

Nothing much happening here yet... Snow is falling, all around me... But just not ON me!

Temperature is about 0ºc here... Still frosty patches on the grass... Hope the cold air manages to stay nearby.

Steady drizzle in Newton Abbot, temp 4.7, dead calm wind. Whilst dissapointed with today, some of the best charts I have ever seen modelled for mid week onwards and our neck of the woods looks right in line for the best of it. Happy Days :-)

Just been outside and saw about 4 snow grains!... Can't see anything when indoors... Hopefully it will pick up soon!
